Watch whatever mainstream news service you happen to prefer or be used to watching, then if something interests/concerns you then go head and do some digging of your own to find out the real deal, any high traffic forum will be good for that.

99% of news isn't anything you need to know though, worry about stuff you can control or influence, ignore the rest.
