Where to get a good VPS?

Can't go wrong with most that are mentioned (not hostgator). I like Servint, Wiredtree, and Knownhost. These guys are also well reviewed on WHT. The less I have to contact support the better, but when I do I want it to be fast and intelligent.
linode = u can upgrade or downgrade the account on the fly with one click in case u get a spike in traffic/io
I have been looking at the sites for each of the above referenced hosts.
Out of all of them which is best for a person that knows nothing? A fully managed solution. And do any have support for moving say a simple Wordpress site over. I have 1 wordpress site I care about that gets 1,500 - 2,000 hits a day and is about 20 pages total - the rest of my sites I can handle myself as they are all HTML.
I really just need to move the Wordpress site ASAP to get it off GoDaddy shared hosting - it's just too slow and I want to keep the 1,500/day uniques coming before Google whacks me for site speed.
Is Ionzv shared good enough for that or should I go with true VPS like knownhost (wiretree looked good but knownhost @$25/mo vs WiredTree @$44 did not seem there was added value)? And will either move that 1 site for me?

Question: What makes you think that the IonVZ VPS packages are not "true VPS" ? Ionvz offers both shared plans, and VPS, the VPSes are the same kind of VPS you'd get at knownhost the main difference is they use Virturuzzo and we use OpenVz/SolusVM (basically the same technology), and with us you know what hardware your VPS is being placed on. At knownhost you're either getting a xeon 5550 or you might luck out and get placed on something better.
Yeah I thought Ionvz was shared only I guess my error was that of course a VPS is in essence "shared" just much better than say a "shared" plan at GoDaddy with thousands of others. - I just need a managed host for someone that knows knothing and help at least moving the single Wordpress site with minimal interruption - the rest I can handle.
Is the Ionvz plan right for me? And is there any support to move the site? If you say so then I will sign up ASAP - just need a seemless solution - this stuff is my hobby and I do not know enough to make this decision but I do know enough to understand that I need a solution to my crappy GoDaddy plan.

Yes and No, a shared plan essentially shares everything, CPU, Rams, Harddrive space, basically the only separation is the ownership of the files on the same OS install.
A virtual private server gives you a guaranteed amount of rams and storage, and CPU is usually equal-share though an admin can set limitations on a VPS in terms of how much processor use they can have. A VPS when setup correctly (ie: no overselling, where they assign more ram to VPSes than the server has total), its not much different than an actual dedicated server, since you even have your own virtual machine with your own OS installation which you can reload/reinstall etc.
Officially, we don't migrate anything other than Directadmin to Directadmin. If you're on godaddy then you're not using a mainstream control panel per se. But shoot me a PM on what you have, chances are I'll be able to migrate you rather quickly , mainly your files/sites/databases.
You'll probably have to re-add the emails yourself once you get signed in. We do officially help you setup google apps so that your emails (ie: yourname@yourdomain.com) go thru google apps/gmail instead of the hosting, which is nice because it puts a lot less strain on the server, and you get the same benefits of gmail (plus ability to download via pop3/imap) but at your own domain name.
So yea, shoot me a PM with some more details and I can give you a more solid answer of your choices.
