Brazil is pretty much on the top of the list of places I haven't been to, that I'd like to visit.
Brazil definitely. Check out Morro de Sao Paulo a beach town penninsula. No cars, just lots of sand, music, and beautiful women.
The most gorgeous girls of South America are located in Buenos Aires. Why don't you just take a look at badoo and make a quick search for regular argentinian girls in that city, you will soon find out what Im talking about.
You've got much higher chances of hooking up with girls at bars if you are european or any other developed english speaking country. I know it sounds silly but somehow girls down here see anglo-males as superior.

Medellin - hottest women, nice weather, good nightlife. a good pad to explore the rest of colombia and south america. home to pablo escobar.
Cartagena - more touristy but a world heritage listed old town surrounded by fortifications. built by the spanish as a port to ship out all the inca gold they stole. pirates and bucaneers would sit off the coast and sink the ships.
La Ciudad Perdida - The lost city - ruins that pre-date Macchu Picchu and are only 10% uncovered. Cool 5 day hike with hardly any others on the trail. Used to be able to do a cocaine factory tour but the Colombian military shut that down.
Rio Hacha / La Guajira - the northern most point of South America. Remote beaches, desert, fresh fish every night and a unique Caribbean vibe.
Bogota - the capital - normally pretty cold but it's good to acclimatise if you're heading south to do the Inca Trail. Has some cool museums and good nightlife if you know where to look.

I would def. see the Amazon if I was going. That is one of the birthplaces of life. Of course Peruvian Andes is great too, so you could kill 2 birds with 1 stone in Peru.

If you go to a normal city/pueblo...ya there is not much to write home about, but if you go deep it is like walking through the movie Avatar. The habitat of Avatar was modeled on a area of Costa Rica in the cloud forests.
