Where to start?

I know I am going to get flamed for this simple question but I assure you I have taken a look at the stickies and done some research. I was wondering if there was a more organized resource such as a good ebook that will educate me about the terms used in affliate marketing and how to get started.

I don't exactly grasp a lot of these concepts even though I have been running a site for about 6 years. I never looked into SEO because most of my traffic has always been driven strongly by word of mouth.

I am a strong believer that time is money so if I could find an excellent resource for simpleton retards such as myself then that would save me time/money.

Also just so I can abide by the rule and fit in...

Well from everything I have read so far I need to know some SEO in order get on the AM bandwagon. Right now I am trying to find a niche and some good longtails. I am already on clickbank and I am toying with Amazon's affliate program on my existing site.

If you check out the stickies, there is one about getting started and it was really helpful. I would take another look at the stickies and you'll find some really step-by-step advice there.

May be as you are new into SEO, you should slowly begin with all the basics like choosing a long tail keywords with less search volume and then build links slowly with lot of anchor variation.

You would then slowly learn about SEO is better or not..

you have been into making sites for 6 years so I believe you are going to be fine .

one good way would be to look at peoples affiliate sites which are ranking good .

you can begin at flippa . see which sites are ranking, then research keywords and backlinks .

meanwhile, keep reading on all the seo tricks . Keep an eye on the marketplace here to see what kind of links and strategies are popular .
