when you guys started out what was the first couple of things you guys did to start out like did u get a website first? did u join a network? did u try google adword or overture and such it would really help im new and im struggling at the moment any helpful sugsestions from experienced affiliates would help thanks

Aahh Finally a response well thanks ill give that a try
Gonna cut you a break cos I was once where you are now. There are the respectable networks that everyone knows - these are the ones which will always pay you unless you are doing fraudulent stuff. Then there are newer networks that haven't been around as long so you are more likely to get burned.

Some of the good networks would be: Neverblue, Copeac, Convert2Media, Ads4Dough.

The networks mentioned above (CPARev and ROIShare) aren't companies you want to do business with - the post above was a joke.

On a side note, I've always wondered what happened to ROIShare.

Join the big networks first and learn how things work.. get to know your AM really well and start running some campaigns. Working with a big network will let you fuck up a couple times without ruining your name. After a few months you will learn who you like working with. A lot of big marketers end up working with smaller networks run by their friends as they can get the personal attention without the corporate bullshit

Neverblue's a good network, especially for beginners imo.

Copeac and A4D as well.

neverblue, copeac, azoogle, and clickbank are all solid networks depending on the niche and have all paid on time plus have good tracking. I also use CJ but not as happy with their customer service and tracking.
