I just wondered what people here are reading?

I've just finished an absolutely astonishing bit of fiction:

What, fellow WF members are you currently reading, and what do you recommend?

Apologies of course if this thread has been done many times previously.

I just finished Ryan Holiday's "Trust Me, I'm Lying. Confessions of a Media Manipulator."

A really great read, I finished it in a few days while usually it takes me a couple weeks to get through a book. There's tons of gold in there for marketers. Its also pretty disturbing how low editorial standards are for sites like Gawker, Jezebel, Huffington Post, etc.

"Guide to the Secure Configuration of Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5" by the NSA.

Absolutely fucken riveting, I tell ya...

What books are you all reading?

(actually I just wanted to tell you all about the book I just read)

In the last month or so I've read...

Really good IMO.

Great read for conservatives/minarchists/anyone who's discontent with the Government but believes it can be fixed. Really breaks down why they're wrong without being condescending about it, backing everything up with empirical proof. Fun read too.

I recommend reading all of Robert Ringer's books, as well as his blog. If you're a marketer and you don't know that name you're missing out.

This was good. Sales training with PUA techniques worked into it. I don't agree with all of it, but it's a unique book, and I do agree with things like "prizing", understanding frames and some other things it goes into. A lot of techniques I use myself.

Those are all good books I've read in the last month or two. I'd recommend all of them.

guys any reccommedation for driving away laziness and anxiety?

Quit worrying about books and get back to work. I think I solved 2 in 1 there.

In all seriousness, a book won't really "help" you there. You have to have a goal in mind, something relatively tangible, on a time table, and focus extremely hard on whatever it is you really desire. As much as you can, do something to get you to your goal ASAP.

Speaking of which, I'm getting back to work.

Feelin' down bro?

C'mere for a hug!

I am not depressed, but I do believe that you can always be tweaking your behavior to achieve a more optimal state. The perspective changing exercises suggested in this book have been great. It has certainly had a positive effect on me.

Thank you for the hug, though
