Which MBTI Personality Type Are You?

They disgust me. Arguing with idiots is a waste of time. Thankfully most of them seem to congregate within the politics & current events subforum. "zibber" is the worst of the lot.

It's more entertaining to me than watching American Idol.

We all get out kicks from somewhere. :1bluewinky:

More weirdness:

  • Two friends perceived me as ISFP - “The Artist” (didn’t ask... one of them told me)
  • Usually got INFP in tests
  • I’ve since become more skeptical/rational but have taken great strides to preserve then relegate unproven/bizarre concepts and “feelings” to a subconscious chamber for mental masturbation (as this is responsible for driving creative output)
  • Took the test posted by the OP and got INTJ
  • Remembered that I had an account at mypersonality.info (previously was INFP) and retested to get INTP.

Conclusions:
  • Even your closest friends have no idea who you are or how you think. They know your talents and focus on actions you take that affect them personally. This makes them hopelessly biased.
  • Personality is in a constant state of flux.
  • Nebulous test questions are problematic because too much is left up to interpretation.
  • Mood and current thoughts slant results.

INTJ here. I forget the exact percentages, I took the Myers Briggs test sometime last year. I'm a little surprised to see such a high proportion of INTJs on this thread so far but I guess it makes sense given the nature of IM.

Thanks for voting everyone. This is shaping up about how I expected, although I thought the SJs would be the 2nd most popular but it appears as though the NFs are -- that's a good thing :)

As for the poll, if you don't see yours on the list it's because I could only do 10 options, so I tried to pick the ones I thought would be most popular on this forum. I should have left off the SJs and replaced it with NFs. I'm happy to see so many N's here.

And like others have said, this is just a quick test, not to be taken 100% serious, although I think there is a lot to it. I also think some people can lean towards a few others. Like I am INTJ but can also lean towards INTP and INFJ.

Another interesting piece. In general the N's stick together with other N's and the S's stick together with S's. N's are the least common among the MBTI (around 20 - 25% of people). Most people are S's (75 - 80% of people).

Moreover,
SP's (~25% of population) - The Artisans are basically consumers. Fun is #1 on their list. That's why you don't see many here. In fact, if they're online at all they are most likely on FB or your landing pages.
SJ's (~50% of population) - The Guardians are people who like tradition. They like college, routine and safe, secure jobs usually. That's why you don't see many here. They also like FB and your landing pages.
NF's (~15-20% of population) - The Idealists have a burning desire for diplomacy and making the world a better place. They care very deeply about things and work on improving themselves and others.
NT's (~5-10% of population) - The Rationals are people who like science and innovation. They are usually leaders in their given industry and gravitate towards technology and finance. That's why you see so many here.

This is not to say that there aren't overlaps or that this is 100% accurate. These are simply the trends. I could go on a lot more about all this but we will leave it here for now :)

Why did you think SJs would be popular at all. There is 0 chance that SJs are around here. Out of the like 100k visits this site gets, I bet like 8 are SJs.

Behind the NTs I see the SJs as being more technical than NFs. I'm not sure if this is accurate or not, but this is the way I viewed it at the time. I think a large part as to why this isn't the case has to do with the overall intelligence of the members here. Most people on WF are smarter than the general public, which means there are going to be less Ss and more Ns (Ss usually have lower IQs than Ns).

Conversely, if I were to post this same poll on DP or Warrior Forum I highly suspect it would be the exact opposite -- riddled with SPs and SJs. But yeah, I would say I didn't expect the overall intelligence of this board to be as high as it is. Anywhere you find 90%+ of the people being Ns there is going to be some good information. So to answer your question I thought there would be more SJs because I thought there would be more DP and Warrior Forum type people on here. I'm not even sure if this is a correct way to view it, but that's the way I view it. Thoughts?

I'm the only ESTP here apparently. I did this same test earlier this year for school and got ESTJ. But after reading about ESTP it sounds a ton more like me.

Heres a cute chart tho.

ENTJ, but there where a lot of questions I would have answered with "depends on the situation"..

I dont think these tests are very beneficial and I remember reading a study that showed that your personality type changes depending on the mood you are in.

ENTJ!

ENTJs have a natural tendency to marshall and direct. This may be expressed with the charm and finesse of a world leader or with the insensitivity of a cult leader. The ENTJ requires little encouragement to make a plan.
