I've only been saying it for months, but November is going to be Romney vs Obama. I've thrown in a couple other options for fun, but who will you actually vote for?

I'll probably vote Romney for the potential tax benefits. Romney and Obama will both suck but it's a "lesser of the two evils" thing at this point.

stfu I've donated to Ron Paul, handed out Ron Paul brochures, tried convincing all of my family and friends to vote for Ron Paul, and will volunteer for the useless NY primary for Ron Paul.

Best to have a realistic attitude than a delusional one.
 
Why vote for someone you're strongly against?

That's worse than not voting at all.

If you're voting to have your opinion heard, shouldn't you vote for someone you support? Even if they're not going to win, at least let it be heard that, that's who you support.

What will you accomplish with that?

It's not worse than not voting at all, because if you're not delusional, you accept that either Mitt Romney or Barack Obama will be your President for the next 4 years. Who would you rather have?

Sorry but this isn't the year for libertarianism.

And this is exactly why we will never have anything more than a two party system...if some other party happened to get 5 or 15% of the vote, cause that's what 15% of the country agreed on, then it would shake things up for the future election. We might actually have 3 primary parties the following election. But with a lot of people doing what you're doing, it's not making any progress, and you're voting for someone you don't support.

I'm voting for Ron Paul in NY, but he's not winning the nomination. Do you actually think an independent like Gary Johnson can become President out of the blue?

Ron Paul has definitely shaken things up for the next election, but he's not going to win. Voting for the irrelevant independent in the general election isn't going to help anything.

You are aware that despite voting amongst the general public, our votes don't count as the the electoral college picks the winner, and if there is no winner - the house of representatives selects the president. Voting exists only to keep sanity and show a democratic presence within this nation. Since this is a Zionist occupied government (zog); rest assured it wont be ron paul (despite what the masses want).
 
This is the first year I'm voting.

Ron Paul won't actually run as an Independent. If he did, I'd vote for him.

I think voting for who you believe in is the right thing to do. If you don't support who you're voting for then don't vote.

And No, I don't think any third party can win the election this year, but it needs to start somewhere and some time. Look at how much more progress Ron Paul has made in 2012 compared to 2008. A similar thing could happen with primary parties too.
 
I can't bring myself to vote for the lesser of two evils. Fuck. that. Possibly Gary Johnson but most likely I won't vote. Time to gtfo of this country or gear up to fight.
