Who Else is Getting REAL Tired of the US Gov't?

Subigo,

I understand what you are saying. Your trying to be a "man of the people" - GOOD FOR YOU.

What I don't understand is why can't people just have what they have?

If you have a job that pays you $400 a week, you get $400 a week. Why the fuck do I and others have to subsidize other peoples income?

If you have money to eat, you eat. If not, you get another fucking job.

There are so many cases in this country where the haves are FORCED to give to the HAVE NOTS. It's fucking bullshit. About the only thing I agree with is that all children should be covered with health insurance which Medicaid and state insurance programs take care of.

If you are an adult, your ass should sink or swim. Which means, no going to a fucking office and having someone pay your electric, give you food, send you a fucking check once a month, pay your rent, or any other fucking thing.

Apparently, there are more than enough that agree with "welfare" - Why don't they just donate all their cash for the dead beats of the country and leave people like me the fuck alone. Every time I ride by one of the low-income developments in my state, I want to throw the fuck up, simply because I know my money pays for that shit. Every time I see some retarded bitch pull out her food stamp card for a grocery cart full of fucking steak, I want to kick her in the throat.

Seriously, what ever happened to accountability?

You've got to be kidding me. If you can find an example of any non-third-world country that doesn't have any taxes, I'd be extremely surprised. News flash: The government provides services based on tax revenue. They don't just fund welfare and cash4clunkers, they develop infrastructure, fund research (medical research, military research, research projects that created the internet, GPS satellites), protect the country (military, local law enforcement), provide fire/ambulance services, provide public education, regulate/monitor air travel, run prisons, etc.

Theoretically your example could work based on a consumption tax, but that doesn't seem to be the point of your post (and with a consumption tax needing to be 60% or so to bring in current revenue levels, it would be completely unrealistic to implement). Instead of income taxes, property taxes and sales taxes could be raised. That way, everyone would take home 100% of their paycheck (yet have to pay out taxes in another form, solving nothing).

And, for a comical aside...

Johu,

I'm not saying their should be no taxes. You might want to look into your comprehension issue.

I'm saying that tax money shouldn't go to support a bunch of bottom feeding fucking dead beats.

Why should I pay for bertha from the projects to get groceries?

Why should I pay for joes health care? Is he paying for mine?

Taxes are necessary to run the country, but the welfare system here is ridiculous. Shit, how long can people collect unemployment? After all the extensions, I think it is 18 months. If you can't find a job in a year and a half, you need to decapitate yourself with a utility knife.

I'd be curious to know exactly what percentage of state and federal taxes actually go to supporting other people instead of running the country.

If you count social security, medicare, medicaid, unemployment & welfare it adds up to just over 40% or 1.24 trillion dollars

Absolutely fucking ridiculous lol

There are 2 things that I think are a MUST.

Taking care of children - Making sure they have health insurance.

Taking care of old people - Making sure they have health insurance.

I would even agree to take care of people with mental illness or some sort of debilitating disease that legitimately can't make it. But, all these people that are healthy and able need to fucking support themselves.

If our tax money pays their way the least they could do is come cut my grass or some shit.

The problem here is that you're blaming the average U.S. citizen when you should be blaming your congressman, senator, etc... basically the entire system. Just because someone partakes in a program, even if they get back more than they pay, doesn't make it theft on their part or illegal. Just talk to the multi-million dollar corporations that get away with paying less than 10% in taxes every year due to loopholes.
In most cases the 'loophole' you refer to is crap. It's based off companies that do a lot of business overseas. So if you're paying 35% taxes in that country, they can't tack on the full amount of United States taxes on the same revenue because the company would end up paying 70% taxes, and it's not worthwhile to do business outside of the states.

That said, the problem with money is that at some point it becomes possible to make more by figuring out ways to dodge the taxes than it's possible to make by actually using it/working.

The problem is many people on welfare do not pay taxes or at least where I am from they don't. It seems right now there are the very very poor who get welfare, the middle class who pays all the taxes and provides for welfare, and the super rich who avoid all taxes. I think the problem with our welfare system is that it just gives handouts instead of helping train people for skills and trying to help place them with a job. It is kind of like the fishing analogy - “Give a man a fish; you have fed him for today. Teach a man to fish; and you have fed him for a lifetime”.

Either way our system is flawed in all aspects and there is too much to go into but if you want to hear someone who knows what they are talking about economy wise then go to youtube and look up Peter Schiff.
