Who else just ordered one of these?

Right, but my point was that Apple views themselves as a software company first -- it's the foundation and without a great OS the hardware doesn't really matter. Why didn't Sony, who invented the Walkman, be able to compete with the iPod and make a better device? Because they couldn't figure out the software part.

Steve Jobs said, "the reason we won't make a 7-inch tablet isn’t because we don’t want to hit a lower price point, it’s because we think the screen is too small to express the software."

Anyway, I really hope to be holding an iPad Mini and the iPhone 5 in my hand this Fall :D

haha I'll hopefully have an iphone 5 too. I think the whole "software is our bag" thing was a ruse honestly, which allows them to sell expensive hardware. All good, we can meet one day and have an electronics accessory war in person :)

for anyone with prior complaints about android performance, let me tell you that 4.0 solves everything.

i have a xoom tablet, and i was fairly "meh" and indifferent to it with v3, things were sluggish, apps would crash, live background made the whole tablet lag. my tmobile g2 still runs 2.3 and it's "usable" at best, it locks up frequently for 60s bursts.

but then, one day, SHABAM, SHAPOW, ANDROID 4.0 came over the airwaves and into my xoom tablet and all of a sudden this thing is slicker than greased tits. i added a bluetooth keyboard and i use it to develop android software upon itself. i beat off to two flash movies at once sometimes (pornark.com, you should try it), and i can even multitask back to skyping with my mom in the middle of it. plus, its got voice recognition that straight shits on siri (no, not natural language processing until 4.1, but already way more capable and functionally useful). my tablet gives me a hardon just charging on the desk next to me with a blank screen. it's so fast i get speeding tickets. it wrote most of this post for me while i was taking a shit in the other room.

if this you just purchased a 16gb, latest-gen, google-sponsored android 4.1 device, you guys are really going to enjoy the experience. please post updates. and titties.

Bought it. Need something else to take to the coffee shop for casual reading. Anyone know the battery life on these?
