I get out a bit...
I grew up in MN so walleye fishing is the norm - plus all the other standards (panfish, pike, bass, etc).
The most fun fishing I've had so far though is going for salmon on the west side of Lake Michigan - I've gone out of Sheboygan as well as two spots in Door County (Bailey's Harbor and Sturgeon Bay).
I did well every trip - brought home a total of 100 pounds of filets between those three thrips - my cut was about 1/3. Biggest fish I boated was a 25 pound salmon.

we do some ocean fishing here in So Cal. Lately the water has been so cold the fish dont tend to get too active or bite..very poor fishing season round these parts.. went out on a half day boat and got some rock cod and a few sea bass...but nothing too big
call me when you're ready to level up.
Did you catch that? Is it a MAko? If so, you fish out of Louisiana?
