Who's Going to AdTech in Chicago?

Me, Steve and Michael will be there. I can tell you that it's most likely going to be a MUCH smaller show. We literally are flying in on the first day and flying back out that night. They canceled the old Latin Adtech which used to be in Miami and to my understanding have consolidated it into the Midwest show. If you are going feel free to give us a shout and we'll meet up.

Will definitely give a shout. Yeah I know it's gonna be smaller, but I'm all about new traffic sources.

+1 I live 15 minutes away.

Looks like it will be 1/3 size of other ad-tech shows. Most people skip this one since there will be a bigger one in November at NYC.

There are sale offices from Valueclick and Google Affiliate Network in Chicago area well as many SEO/SEM/PR firms. Shareasale and EWA both based in Chicago area.

September should be really nice weather to visit Chicago. If anyone needs hotel, restaurant, night club recommendations. Let me know.

The best way at these shows is to memorize the colors of network/advertisers/agency/affiliate badges. That way, even at small shows, you can still introduce yourself to plenty of opportunities on the floor or hanging around.

Chicago show has never found it's niche. With so many Ad Tech shows and ASE/ASW now bunched in, it just never found a spot. It's now moved from July, to August, and now September, but still in the wrong week (leading to Labor Day weekend).

I live about a mile away, so if anyone wants to grab a few pints or what not, let me know.

who cares who the advertisers are

- go the event.
- never check in.
- find the strip clubs.
- VIP.
- fly home.
- write it off.

A friend, who shouldn’t remain nameless, but I’ll be a sport and protect her identity, had an inexplicable fascination with The Spammer’s party last night, despite the fact that every respectable e-marketer at the event that she spoke with gagged when asked if they’d be attending.
