Who's going to Affiliate Summit East - July 8th - 10th?

For about the cost of a plane ticket from Austin to Miami, sure! :) I can guarantee safety from kittens and baby chihuahuas.

I just started a new job, and I'm now in charge of our affiliate program. We use a 3rd party to manage things, but I'm still considering heading down.

Is is it worth it? Is it a good chance to wine and dine / get new partners?

any thoughts on this / past shows would be great.
 
WOW, I guess I will show up, me and big boy Dnic. Can't miss out on an oppurtunity to hang out with some of the Wickedfire Posse.

Is that boxing match still going on Jon? Who was it Lerch and a few others. Hahaha.

I kept forgetting to reserve my room at the InterContinental Hotel so now I'm looking for alternatives since it appears to be booked for that weekend. Anyone have any suggestions? How about all WF members that are going that don't already have a hotel room take over another nearby hotel?

Dude, I would totally take you up on that in a heartbeat but I'm bringing my girl down with me. We're definitely drinking some beers together, though. What the hell are we even doing online on Memorial Day anyway? Haha! At least I'm not the only one guilty of it.

I really would....if I were single. Hell I'd have as many people as I could fit in my house, but I'm married with children now...so you know how that goes.

As it is I'm trying to figure out an excuse to stay and party after hours at ASE.
 
Geekcognito, I would probably be up for it, as they screwed up my reservation, and I'm now staying at the Intercontintental 6 through the 8 and the rest of the conference at their sister property. However there is still a small chance they'll be able to fix it on tuesday.

Otherwise I'm definitely "in" ;)

Btw, when are you all flying in?

They were showing availability for the 6th through the 11th in the ASI group, but for some reason they weren't able to book the whole thing, their front desk had no idea why either, and none of their "in-house reservation" guys were there, so after half an hour or so of being put on hold they decided to book me into the Intercontinental for the 6th through the 8th, the 8th through the 10th I'm supposed to be staying at the Port of Miami Downtown, and the last night it's back at the Intercontinental ;)

So I guess they didn't screw up my reservation, but rather the reservation process. And there's still a chance their guys might "fix" it tomorrow.
 
Will anyone make more money after leaving this summit? I doubt it. Just a lot of filler and rehashed material. If you can't make money this conference wont really help you. Save yourself the time & money and go for a walk outside or play a game of chess or something. If your making tons of money and have lots of connections you will probably get more out of this summit. People bee paying money for airfare and hotel and food,. Transportation and other expenses. Time off work and money for drinks and cars and for what? How to make a website? Whats the html and coding? Just same old same old. Boring.
 
Why ban someone for having a differing opinion? I though the point of Wickedfire was to provide an outlet for people to give their opinions without worry about being banned.
 
I'm hoping to go.. Looking into airfare and hotel now - waiting for Shawn to confirm that there's some openings at the Intercontinental ;)

Other than that, trying to figure out how to get those AS tickets. Money's starting to run a tad thin.
