I haven't and I pray that I never do.

That shit looks unbearable.

They are pretty bad.

A guy I use to work with had several very nasty ones and didn't want to sit down during the week he was was passing them. He didn't have surgery.

Now my grandfather had to have surgery to remove his. The first time he had them he didn't, but the second time they were just not able to be passed.

Judging by what I saw the guy I worked with go through, I'd say surgery looked less painful and easier to recuperate from. But not having had them myself, I can't really say.

I'm hoping the amount of green tea I drink a day will keep me from having to deal with it when I am older. From what I have heard, that's suppose to keep the crap that forms the stones under control by diluting it to pass through the urine.

I'd probably elect for surgery, if it was an option.

I stayed with a friend for awhile a few years ago, and his did had kidney stones.

His screams woke me up in the middle of the night. It sounded like he was dying, I didn't know what was going on so I started banging on the door asking if I should call an aid car, haha. He said no it was "just kidney stones." The fear of kidney stones alone has kept me from drinking much soda or energy drinks since then.

I dated a girl in college who ended up having them. When they checked her out, they said they found she only had 1 kidney!!! The chances of that happening...1/1,000,000

I was awoken by my girl a couple years back at 4am, had to carry her to the car and bring her to the ER. She did not handle that so well.

I hope I never have them.

I've had 3 so far. Got 2 more in me. Worst pain there is. Bring on the Toradol shot.

I had one in college...woke up from a nap thinking i had a cramp. Fell to the floor and was throwing up..thought i was dying from an appendix burst or somethin.

Hospital stay with IV drip helped and was sent home with pain pills. Woke up next morning with the pain back. Everytime i popped a pain pill, i threw it up..tried poppin 3 pills in 10 mins haha.

Yeah that shit sucks bad...never pissed it out lucky for me...but im waiting for that surprise down the line..

I passed 3 of them last summer. They all looked like the stone marked "misery" in the first post. I hope I don't have more. I have been trying to eat/drink a little more healthy stuff since then.

I had a kidney stone when I was 22. woke up in the morning and tried getting out of bed, and it felt like i got hit in the side with a baseball bat. I didn't know what the fuck was going on.. I seriously thought I was dying or something... never felt anything like it ;)

As per my knowledge I have on kidney stones is . The person who doesn't take food on time and who consumes or intake spicy food.

Kidney stones suck, but gallstones are a bitch. Add in an infected gall bladder that I had last year and it was pain like you can not imagine. I have broken bones and yes they hurt, but this pain was to the core of my being.

Had the doctor rip that gall bladder out the next day, was not going to go through that again. When they took it out it was twice the size of a normal one.

7 and counting...

I sprinkle them shits back onto my cereal at this point!!

a few of my babies....

Wow-- do you drink mineral water or well water (which can contain a lot of salts and such)? I knew a dude that only drank peligrino mineral water -- it fucked up his kidneys.

Kidney stones are really shit, but gallstones are worse. I had both, and I had to elect for surgery to get rid of them.
