HEY LOOK, THERE'S AN ELEPHANT IN THE ROOM.
Nick Throlson, webmaster blogging about success, remember last year when you were paid a couple hundred dollars by the lovely folks over at QLC and given high-fashion, custom-made t-shirts to wear? Ignoring the fact that you were walking around with a jacket on over top of them, let's address the real elephant in the room.
You told Wickedfire that you were going to donate $100 to the victims of Hurricane Sandy and then return to post a screenshot proving so. You didn't return, you didn't post the screenshot, so what else can we take from that besides the fact that you didn't make that donation at all? What are are we left to believe besides that you kept that money for yourself? We're big boys, we can handle being lied to but the family members of the 285 dead in the hurricane, at the VERY LEAST, deserve your honesty. They were waiting for your money, where were you? What were you doing instead, while they were mourning and waiting for just a little bit of support? Partying with models? Cuddling with your pretty little girlfriend? Visiting your family members? MUST BE NICE TO HAVE THAT LUXURY.
I'm sure someone of your stature, and who's achieved high enough levels of success to blog about it, values their reputation more than $100... You'd fucking think so at least, right?
Yet you've ignored any messages sent in via your website's contact form over the past year, you've ignored any comments left asking what happened to the money... What's the matter, no WiFi on the beach?
It begs the question...
Out of the 3 parties you wronged in this situation, which one do you hate the most?
QLC, who clothed you and kept you warm?
Wickedfire, who helped you enter this industry in the first place?
OR the victims and families of Hurricane Sandy, who just wanted you to keep your word?
Yet here you are again!
Nah, you don't get to come back here like this and pretend that didn't happen. You owe us an explanation. Where's the money, Throlson? Post the proof.
Here's the part where I pretend to give you the benefit of the doubt. I'm sure a busy man like yourself simply forgot about your commitment to post proof of your donation, it happens and you're at least kind of human despite your actions, so dig through your bank statements and post it now. Surely the date will match up with when you made your commitment, and if it doesn't surely you will multiply that donation by a reasonable amount to make amends.
