That's an arrogant statement to make for someone who apparently has never been to ASW.
Ignorant, maybe, but definitely not arrogant. Not my scene and I'd rather stay home and make money than chin wag about making money. To each his own.
Misuse of words, my bad. The point I was trying to make was yeah there's cheesy parties (except badger ball) but ASW is 100% the reason I quintupled my income in 2013 compared to 2012.

Are you serious? Anyone who takes their IM business seriously and makes enough money goes to these events or at least has been to some in the past. It's called networking.
Believe it or not there are people in this industry who don't generate new business contacts solely from wickedfire and linkedin.

It was an honor to see you in real life at ASW '13, however I was slightly concerned how, during a talk that shall remain nameless, you couldn't take your eyes off of Facebook. I mean, what's the point? Nobody's forcing you to be there, or to not leave early! This isn't school, man!
