Why did you got married?

Marriage is a wonderful and beautiful thing:

- I like a permanent housekeeper.
- I like a personal house chef.
- I like my laundry done.
- I like backup sex for those days when I'm too busy for adultery.

Where did I hear that the vast majority of men are the pursuers of females, the marriage proposers and the shoppers for engagement rings?

Urban myth?

Pretty ignorant comment, IMO.

Have you ever been with a girl?

Or Dawkins-forbid, promoted anything in the wedding niche?

Men don't pursue women for marriage. They pursue women for the fun.

No Commission No Wife

I have been married for 11 months. The 'plan' finish Officer Candidate School and then maybe deploy. After I lost my commission due to a running injury...the wife ran faster than I ever could.

The question should be why did you marry a cunt that doesn't let you live your life, gets fat off your endeavors? Its not marriage that ruins you, its the worthless bitch you married that ruins you.

This, bro.

And the scariest part is, you have no way of knowing if the woman you're with before marriage will change after marriage.

Marriage: promising forever to someone based off the arbitrary conditional love you're currently feeling...

Things change, don't fool yourself into thinking your love is anything but conditional and guess what, conditions change.

Enjoy it while it's good, move on when it changes. If somehow it never changes and it always stays good, awesome! That's great, but don't trick yourself into thinking you know the conditions allowing you to love this person will last. So don't lie to yourself and your partner by promising forever.

Marriage is an insecurity issue.

And kids? Starting a family? Nothing but a vanity issue. This world doesn't need any more people.

Seems to me freedom is the most important thing and yet people are so quick to give it away for false security.

I saw everybody has a different opinion about this marriage topic.
Actually how many of you guys in this thread that already got married?
well i am not married yet. because i am still young. i stiil can pursue my carrier and my happiness.

Actually, what if you in this situation.....
You're old...
you don't have kids..
and then you fall sick... Really sick.
No one bother to visit you anymore after couple of years in the bed. Even your friend. They Got bored.
You said nearby the window.. Then you realize, that you're lonely.
You're in old folks home... Hurrmmm...

I do think we need to settle down when the time comes, have kids.. Educate them to be a part of the community, teach them how to appreciate us a parent.

opened this thread

and was pleasantly suprised to see the responses from men. Your wives would be proud:-) It really is about the person you marry not the actual piece of paper that makes it bad. Sometimes, the wife or husband is still the good one. Unfortunately, their partner can bring out the worst in the them..Sometimes if things are going south, you have to take a look in the mirror:-)

Why did I get married? So I could goto sleep with, and wake up beside the same person for the rest of my life. What's the point of going through this beautiful journey called life, if you don't have someone to share it with?

to put it simply... you are with the wrong woman if you are asking that. it is give and take. if you find someone you will know they are right. if you feel that you shouldnt get married don't because 50% is a big investment as a starting point especially if you have to split.
