Why do we need landing page at all?

Hey GUys, I am new to this affiliate marketing. So HI!!

Say I am promoting the an "email submit" offer where the user has to put in their email address and I get my lead. My question is can't we just directly link to the page that my affiliate network gives me?

Do i need to make a landing page at all?

Yeah presell basically. Not all offers need it. Shit like weight loss always uses LP's, mobile offers excluding ringtones almost never do. Just look at the other players in your niche and see if and how they do it, it's pretty self-explanatory.
