Why I am not a Super Affiliate

Hey guys a quick story.

So I just got off the phone from one of my mentors who happens to be a super affiliate (CJ Performer) and over $1M income yearly.

While talking to him I realized something. His really works his ass off to make the kind of money he does. After our talk he was going to sleep and it was around 3pm in the afternoon. Why? Because he worked on a campaign for 33 hours straight. Now that is crazy!!!

He told me that he always does that and it wasn't unusual but he did tell me this much. He takes 3 months off per year (1 month every 3 months or so) while his team does tweaking etc for the on going campaigns.

Now this shows the dedication he has. His team only work part time for him and there are 2 people on the team.

That when I realized that I need to work like him as well to make that much money. Currently I am a full time affiliate and have been for past 3 months. Before this I was a part time affiliate for 1 and 1/2 years. I usually work around 8 hours a day and I make around $1000 per week. Still from the 8 hours I only do 3-4 hours a day of proper work. the rest I muck around read alot BS and watch porn and watch youtube videos lol.

I think I might have to put more work to make more money so I can make a million dollar per year.

Moral : Affiliates have to work their butts of as well in order to make money and it isn't easy as perceived. Its hard work and smart work which makes a profitable affiliate business.
 


You only work 8 hours per day?

I have a fiance and 3 kids set for a good a many of years
and I just went a stretch of 57 hours straight this week and closed out an
easy 100+ hour week.

Damn I miss the affiliate life:p

Seriously though, at least you can identify that you are fucking around a lot. Now the problem is fixing it. Good on you for being a realist.
 
i have a natural tendency to go to sleep in the afternoon and wake up at like 6 or 7pm. have to fight it. having a fucked up circadian rhythm starts to get depressing after a while when you only see a few hours of daylight.

The increases in income come with experience and alot of work.
I try to work 8 hour days. Its easy to get distracted when you work at home.

Also income from AM is so inconsistant, you have to constantly work on new sites/campaigns to make up for the old ones that die.

I also have crazy insomnia, so i need a job where i can wake up whenever i want

You don't necessarily need to work like that to make money - You can have other people do that work for you :). I know a CJ Performer who does PPC and SEO, and has a full company of 20+ employees (in the US, paying real salaries).

I'll be trying some long marathons to get some campaigns up in the next few weeks, since I don't have the 20 people to do it for me.
 
i normally wake up at 1am, eat some acai berries then work for 20 hrs straight. i get so much energy!
 
He is probably what's called a control freak. Affiliate marketing isn't that hard that you couldn't train other people to do it for you when you have the cash.
 
You want money? You want cars? Fucking work.

Not being an ass, that's real advice. Learn to love it. Get addicted. Once you're rich you'll have plenty of time to jack off to porn all day.
 
I love this lol. Well I actually love AM thats why I am in it and will always stay in it. The $1000 I make is more than average individual does in a week and I still don't have major deadlines to meet etc and do whatever I feel like.

The only reason I am not doing more than 8 hours is because my GF wants some "GF time" and my parents need some "parents time" from me and I am also doing my law degree as well (I dont do much for it until exams come near lol and don't go to lectures either).
