Isn't that true of most people who are considered great actors though? Pacino, de Niro, Hoffman, Nicholson, these guys all started out with amazing range and promise and over the years allowed themselves to be shoehorned into a single personas that they reprise over and over again.
Hoffman was the big mystery to me, since he held onto his individuality pretty much all the way up to Hero ... after that he played the guy from Hero in nearly every film he's made. Why that particular one is anybody's best guess. I mean, the guy from Rain Man would have been hard to put into very many scripts, but still. Maybe Dutch Schulz ... Hoffman made a suprisingly good tough guy.

The thing with Nicky is branding. Whether he has intended to or not, he has developed a brand. He has a persona to go with his postings. He seems genuine and therefore he's easy to respect even when he very obviously trolls people.
I enjoy his blog and find it has helpful info. He has my respect and he's one of many in this business, (like eli, smaxor, shady, diorex, etc) that I would someday like to earn the respect of.

Ok, I'm not going to read this whole thread, because I'm sure it's just a bunch of bullshit. Buuuuuut... why is everybody sucking "the cakes'" dick? Because 97.825% of everybody in this forum needs some mentor to feel like they're following to find the path to riches. First it was shoemoney, then a couple in between, then uber, now nicky. Not to bash any particular one of them, but more the tards that follow them thinking that it's going to make them rich. They follow each one for a bit, don't get rich yet, so switch to the new hot one. 99.99999625% of them will never make any significant $$$ because they're either incapable, or spend too much time reading blogs and forums instead of working.
Get your blog reading ass to work. You don't make any $$$ whatsoever by reading blogs, you make it by getting shit done. I've done enough of this to know that reading forums and blogs is infinitely less profitable than actually working on a project. Even if the project is a failure, in the process of working on it, you learn more and make contacts to be successful in the next.
