Why People Fail In blogging

I agree with alot of your conclusions, if someone is building a blog just out of passion. But if thats the case, they should'nt be thinking about monetization.

So if your wondering why people fail at blogging, thats aimed at making money, its because they just dont know what they're doing.

I've done a ton of "blogs" that make money quickly, but thats because I had a plan for traffic generation, and monetization, and most of the time, I didnt know SH** about the topic, before I entered.

Heres the easiest recipe for a successful blog:

1. Choose how your going to generate traffic, short term and long term strategies. (i.e. ill start by buying display traffic, or traffic trading, and focus on SEO for long term)

2. Choose how your going to monetize your blog, (i.e. affiliate offers, traffic selling, CPM or CPC ads, selling links, building a list, etc)

3. Build out the plan before I even buy a domain.

4. Execute, test, track, optimize, and scale.

Its just that simple. Most people dont know how to expand on those things, or only know how to do certain things, and arent willing to either learn, or hire someone who already knows to get it done.

Now lets say your building a blog, to build your brand, and authority. Those types of blogs might not be about money, as much as just getting industry insiders to respect you. But SH*** what am I thinking, of course its about money, because the more people respect you, the more money you can make if they want to work with you.

So if im building that type of blog, in order to get readers, I could literally join a bunch of FB groups, and whenever I write a new post, share the link in those groups, and Id instantly get traffic.

I could then automate that process with a really cool tool, im not going share because its to awesome lol but with that tool I could automatically find more and more FB groups, Google+ groups, etc. related to my niche, and share my new blog posts with them all on Autopilot. (JK... tool is called massplanner)

If that person knew how to do real effective SEO, they'd be able to rank on Google very easily, and generate organic traffic as well as social traffic.

So social traffic would be short term boost, SEO my long term.

Alright, well this post was a lot longer then I planned!

The 4 things you mentioned are probably good reasons why people fail in blogging. By understanding those things can be the key to success for bloggers. They simply just have to be more patient, don't be too greedy, lessen the content, and don't be lazy.

I agree with all your conclusions, but I see impatience as the number one reason. Many people just give up easily then would change their mind and continue then stop again. That is why motivation is important in starting a blog. If you are motivated to do it, quality and quantity follows..

Good tips, They also fail due to low patience and post on different different topic or don't have a enough knowledge and copy paste from other blogs.

Now a days you need to post at lest 1000+ word post every week for 6 month to 1 year for getting a success.

Hey guys I was in another forum recently and was in a discussion about why people fail in their blogging career when it comes to making money online. Here's what I conclude:

1. People are impatient- A lot of people want success instantly. They think that they can put up a website and make millions by tomorrow. Lots of successful bloggers put in the time, effort, and energy into their blogs. Most blogs do not see any traffic or money until at least 6 months down the road. The harsh reality is most bloggers give up in 3 months.
- This is true. You have to focus on what you're trying to reach and don't give up too easily.

2. People just want money- Let's face it. If you are starting a blog just to make a quick buck, you will fail. A lot of successful bloggers have a passion to what they are talking about. If you do not enjoy what you are talking about, it will be very difficult to make your blog a success. You have to be willing to put in a LOT blood sweat and tears for a very long time until you see the fruits of your labour.
- I kind of disagree. There are some bloggers that really love writing even if they know they'll not earn from it, eventually they just get paid off by brands that want to have a signal boost.

3. People create too much content- If you are getting less than 100 visitors a day, it makes no sense to spew up a lot of content when no one is reading it. It makes more sense to promote the content you already have into the hands of more people.
- I agree with the statement: quality over quantity. It's better to post a few very good content than to bombard your blog with short posts.

4. Laziness- Most people do not want to put in the work. They will write at most 2 posts a month and they wonder why no one is coming to their website, or why Google is not ranking it.
- This is case to case basis. If you really want something to work, you gotta work for it.

:D

Some focus on quantity and quality. They don't even realize that they won't build traffic if they do not focus on their quality. A blogger should not simply put in his idea to writing, he should have some strategy to hook up the readers to stay and share. Furthermore, the main focus should be the great experience of the readers in viewing the site. It is a make or break of the business.
