Why Rodger Federer Is Friggin Awesome

I play tennis every day seriously and for my 1st division college. Have been playing for 10 years now. What Roger did is impossible. At that distance, and the size of the mark, there is no possible way he would be able to do that twice back to back. There is no way you could aim that accurately. As someone else has mentioned, if he was able to aim that well, he would be placing the ball on the line on all his serves. What is possible is placing the ball within a 6 inch radius every time, but not directly at the mark.

Why doesn't one of you graphic/video guys just dissect this thing in slowmo? To me it looks like the ball disappears at 1:27 and you can hear the ping of the ball hitting the bottle before it even moves. Go ahead, pause it at 1:27 and tell me where the mofo ball is?

Having said that it's NOT impossible but they certainly wouldn't risk someone's face like that.

After X amount of speed, that ball will always disappear once it grows to it's max acceleration speeds and starts slowing a bit, then you'll catch it with your eye again.

Pro level, when returning a 130 mph serve, you'll only see the ball the instance it leaves your opponents racket, and with the amount of practice you've had, you would be able to calculate where the ball should bounce on your side.

Ya maybe to the naked eye but they been had hi tech cameras.

True. But in that frame, you can barely see the racket. Considering that the ball accelerate faster than the racket, it may just be a big spread spot on that frame making it hard to find.

Either way, I do agree that this video is fake. He can't do two of those back to back.

You have a point about the racket...and there actually is a green smudge if you look closely at the lights by the ceiling but I still find it hard to believe the ball wouldn't be a bit more visible.

Bottom line, they succeeded in having people argue over nothing.

Yep, regardless of whether or not it's fake, they achieved their goal which is millions of views.
