Ventrilo sounds good. I've not used it, but I've used Teamspeak before and know of it.

Another thing we might want to try some time is Tinychat - Free Chat Rooms & audio video conferences

We had an 8 way video conference going last night with some of the Syndk8 developers in Switzerland, ourselves on the coast of Spain, and some friends in Canada.

Supposedly it's no big deal to do a 30-40 way video conference on there.

Otherwise Skype works pretty good too for talking. We did the talk with Bofu2U and about 10 other folks a couple weeks ago and that went well.

I think Ventrilo would work better, it has a lot of features Skype just doesn't have.

For example Anti-Fap (ventrilo.com/Antifap.php) is a tool that Skype just doesn't have. You recall on the BOFU skype call he was furiously fapping and we all heard it. Ventrilo takes that user, recognizes fappage, and mutes that line. Ventrilo is also waterproof (ventrilo.com/nosperm.php) so it's safe for WFers.

Bofu would find a way to continue to make some other annoying sound instead.

ive done skype chats with up to like 10 of you at a time before but since I never took WoW to the extreme I never got on Ventrilo. Is it basically the same thing?
