WickedFire & GoTraffic Hold Hands & Save the Day

I'm just a poor boy, I need no sympathy

To those asking about WF's marketplace... No. Its not closing.

GoTraffic is just another channel to sell/buy through. WickedFire is still gonna stay the same, but because our focus is that of news/media/community and not sales, whereas GoTraffic's focus is an open and flexible marketplace service. By sharing assets that WF possesses with the former military crypto guys here in Israel that make up the dev/coding team for GoTraffic, it can be utilized to its full potential, instead of a limited overview.

We're both neutral. Both WickedFire and GoTraffic are completely separate operations of one another. But through a partnership, GoTraffic will benefit in the early stages from WickedFire, but in the long run, WickedFire and the internet marketing community as a whole will absolutely benefit from GoTraffic. I would never partner with another corp unless I had the ability to make sure that things are not fucked with. If you don't think this industry needs drastic changes, then you're just lying to yourself. No one has been willing to make the changes necessary, just talk about them.

The reason we're starting off in the current direction of testing it with people here is because you need to start somewhere. Like I said earlier. Its in beta, and its still a rough version. Its nowhere near fully polished or even functional as the end goal of the project will be when it full launches out of beta in Jan 2012. If you want to wait it out, then do so. No one is forcing you to go there or trade here even. Its just another channel to utilize if you're serious about your business in this industry.

I want to show you the full spectrum of it, but I'm not allowed to because I don't own a majority stake in GoTraffic. They have the personnel and expertise and even dedication that we don't nor are willing to take on the challenges. The terms we have agreed upon are pretty strict and limited too so to not impose or disrupt anyone's business or reputation. Yet.

Heed to this warning... if we don't begin to practice self-regulation and clean up the way things currently operate, due to the sheer power and influence this industry holds, I guarantee you there will be government intervention that will leave many of you at their mercy and pissed off. That's why I would much rather get involved and launch something raw now than nothing at all. Because sitting by and doing nothing, is worse in the long run.

That is all good, but you haven't addressed any of the poignant points raised by erifdekciw.

Why is it a bidding system?
Why do we have to pay for bids?
How are you going to enforce accountability that is different from our very own BST section?
What is stopping someone from simply making a new account and scamming people again?

This is the truth. It is already happening in some areas. There are so many shady people in this industry that it's hard for new companies to navigate it without getting completely screwed somewhere along the line.

The need for accountability is so long overdue! +1,000,000 rep Jon. I know I have said this on a few occasions, but you are The Man!
