Will Android phones take over the iPhone?

Going to verizon will VERY much help the iphone, however android has a great foothold in the industry that they won't give up. It will likely move into a 2 tier system with Android and iOS being at the top tier, then stuff like w7 and Symbian being on the 2nd tier.

I hated my android phone, total piece of shit. When a company like HTC, or Motorola can build hardware like Apple does I might switch again. I think the lack of oversight in Google's "app store" is going to cause a ton of problems. They have already found trojans, viruses, and more that steal your info in the background and send it off. So who's making Antivirus for your Google phone?

Yeah, and it isn't hard for someone to change an App after it's approved in Apple's App store to do the same. Many apps are just interfaces to the website anyway. Now with Apps running in the background, they can offer a good service and steal your login info if they wanted too for your AT&T account or something.

There's more to it than that, but there's already been a ton of security vulnerabilities found with the iPhone, even down to the hardware level. And no, they aren't all plugged up with security fixes to the OS.
