Will Capitalism DIE? Paradise or Oblivion [Jacques Fresco]

Of course I'm going to be defensive, I already have freedom (enough worth protecting), furthermore I'm also happy, and for some guy to come along with a plan on how everybody should be happy, what they should be motivated by and basically how they should think. Just comes across as someone who gets kicks out of controlling and dictating other peoples lives.

I hope I'm wrong I really do, the fact of the matter is I don't trust him it's still only human at the end of the day.

Anyway I'm going to retired from posting here, but I'll continue lurking.

This guy basically wants a world ran under his command, he is a mad man.

He's 96 years old. He's been a leading societal futurist for the last 60~ years. The Venus Project (unlike the DAHRMA Initiative :D ) has never taken any corporate or government funding. Fresco has no personal wealth.

You can't be serious. :batman:

We don't currently have capitalism, every day I dream of real capitalism.

Wrong. We have capitalism, which is private ownership of capitol and competition for $. What you're thinking of is a free market, which doesn't exist.

cap·i·tal·ism/ˈkapətlˌizəm/

Noun:An economic and political system in which a country's trade and industry are controlled by private owners for profit.

I wouldn't call what we have in western countries capitalism, way too much government involvement/control.

Bottom line tho: He'd have to be a 3rd-grade level moron not to see that this would quickly become facism or Communism.

Mankind is flawed, and Anarcho-Capitalism is the only peaceful way to exist long-term. (Of course anarcho-capitalism doesn't do to well with aggressive neigbhors yet, but we're working on that minor detail.)
