Will Weed Be Legal Tomorrow?

Any Coloradans interested in opening a dispensary with me?

There is really no money in it at this point. The money was made during the land grab. + unless you are Russian it isn't gonna happen. The most money made here has been in grow supplies. That market wont die. It's really one big cluster fuck. 80-20 rule for dispensaries screwed all the growers. I live here and this was done totally wrong. Your best bet is to just open a discount smoke store / pawnshop on Colfax.

PROUD TO BE LIVING IN THE GREAT STATE OF COLORADO.

I can smoke my weed in peace and enjoy world class snowboarding. Yeah!

GRATS

Doesn't make sense to me. Possession is still illegal. Growing is illegal. And selling is a felony. This is just smoke and mirrors bullshit to make you think we are progressing when it comes to Marijuana laws.

New York State repealed prohibition in 1923, a full 10 years ahead of the nation. Their statute wasn't perfect either but it helped start the cascade towards repeal.

"Similar to alcohol prohibition, cannabis prohibition is a federal policy that largely relies on state and local enforcement. How did federal alcohol prohibition come to an end? Simple. When a sufficient number of states – led by New York in 1923 (several other states, including Colorado, later followed) – enacted legislation repealing the state’s alcohol prohibition laws. With states no longer doing the federal government’s bidding to enforce an unpopular law, the Feds eventually had no choice but to abandon the policy altogether." - P. Armentano

TL;DR of amendment 64

1. makes the personal use, possession, and limited home-growing of marijuana legal for adults 21 years of age and older;
2. establishes a system in which marijuana is regulated and taxed similarly to alcohol; and
3. allows for the cultivation, processing, and sale of industrial hemp.

Sell spades to the diggers.

I am very interested in how the fed will react. I am jumping into this industry head first if the fed is even remotely lax about it. Brands that start in CO will spread like wildfire if other states make the same move.
