Wisconsin Officials Encourage White Teens to Wear “White Privilege” Wristbands

That's impossible to do. It's in our very genetics to discern the differences between certain objects and place some kind of arbitrary value on them. Why don't people talk about "tribalism" and the effect it had on indigenous African communities as well as European ones? Hello British vs Irish? Discrimination will always exist because it's a part of what gives us our intelligence. The only solution is to find a way to minimize its harmful effects.

I didn't say I "like" anything. Just pointing out hypocrisy.

But I won't side step your question. ;) You see you tried to get your straw man on and it worked! You stirred up all the racists I was talking about who can't defend themselves. They gave ya plenty likes.

Truth is though, no, it's none of the above and I honestly can't tell whether you really didn't get my point or ignored it on purpose because the truth hurts.

Lemme re-state it for you... we still need affirmative action because racists morons like the people I called out in this thread are out there. The playing field is not level because of them. There is no disputing that. This thread is proof. There is no denying that. This thread is proof.

... and these are just the ones bold enough to say what they really think on the internet. There are LOTS and LOTS more who think this stuff, but won't say it. Minorities walk into job interviews and meet them every day and often never know it. But you bet your ass they didn't get that job ;)

That is why we still need affirmative action. Any questions?

I don't know of any business owner that isn't going to hire the most talented person they can for the right salary. You don't need affirmative action, you just need talent and skills that are in demand.

I don't know if you've ever actually hired anybody, so let me share an anecdote with you.

I used to work in the auto industry as a plant foreman and so HR would send me prospective hires for supervisory positions. Basically, HR would do all the necessary screening and then send me the people that passed the drug test, background check, etc - then I would interview them to see if they were right for the job. When we'd be looking for a supervisor it wasn't uncommon for them to send 15 guys before I would settle on 1 or 2 to bring in and train.

Being the type of guy I am, if someone wasn't right I would tell them straight up rather than push it off on HR. That way they weren't waiting around for a phone call and could keep looking elsewhere. So out of 15-20 guys over the course of a couple of weeks most of them would hear me thank them for coming down and tell them that they're probably not right for the job. The white guys would normally accept it and move on, but a lot of times the black guys would take it personal.

They of course didn't realize that around half of the supervisors (and quality inspectors too) that I gave the thumbs up to over the course of several years - were black. So they would often assume they didn't get the job because they were black and they would bitch to HR about it and claim the company was racist etc.

See - it's a lot easier to blame someone else than to admit maybe you're just not qualified, so that's what a lot of them did. And something tells me that more often than not, when a black person doesn't get a job it has nothing to do with his race. How do we know? Because how many times does a white person not get a job, and it has nothing to do with race? So how is it possible that when a white person doesn't get a job it's because he wasn't right for the job, but when a black person doesn't get the job it had to be because of race because he was clearly qualified - does that make any sense?

Hope that helps.

Race-based discrimination should bother everyone. Why doesn't it bother you?

Because he's a beneficiary?

And yes I knew that was a rhetorical question.

Negative. Our culture is just different. I'm not a beneficiary its just something no one thinks about. Yes I know its hard for you to grasp but the black people up here are nothing like our brethren down south. Nepotism is a far greater issue up here than racism.

I work from home for most of the week and go into the office Thursday and Friday to close new clients. As far as hiring my assistant strips all identifiers from resumes and staples them to a writing sample. If I like what I read you get hired.

No one is taking anything from you. You are free at any point in time to work hard and start your own business. Spend less time worrying about race and more time banking bro.

As you were...

If blacks wanted to be taken serious
can we stop with this shit? collecitvely refering to a massive part of society as if it is one person or group is fucking retarded. Sharing the same color as someone else doesn't make you responsible for their actions.

Unless of course you happen to be white. Then you're a racist slave master who keeps holding the black man down.

Get the fuck out of here with that cherry picked bullshit.

Like did you even read the fucking thread? Encouraging white people to accept their "white privilege". The double standard here is so blatantly obvious it would take a severely autistic child to not notice.

Let me ask you this. Can you say with a straight face that you think we live in a fair and just society? Does this fairness and justice extend equally regardless or ethnic or racial origin?

A 2002 Department of Justice survey found that, although the likelihood of being stopped by police did not differ significantly between white drivers and other races, black or Latino drivers were three times more likely to be searched than white drivers.[66]

Racialized employment networks can benefit whites at the expense of blacks.[70] In a study published in 2003, sociologist Deirdre A. Royster compared black and white males who graduated from the same school with the same skills. In looking at their success with school-work transition and working experiences, she found that white graduates were more often employed in skilled trades, earned more, held higher status positions, received more promotions and experienced shorter periods of unemployment. Since all other factors were similar, the differences in employment experiences were attributed to race. Royster concluded that the primary cause of these racial differences was due to social networking. The concept of "who you know" seemed just as important to these graduates as "what you know."

Yes or no?

White privilege is a myth. Go spend some time in Appalachia with white people so poor they don't even have running water or electricity then tell them how good they have it thanks to their magical white skin. The majority of poor people in this country are white, where is their privilege?

The biggest problem in the black community is the complete break down of the family unit. If over 75% of black babies weren't being born to single mothers a lot of these problems would magically disappear.

Don't let white liberal elites brainwash you into thinking the white man is holding you down - they're only telling you that bullshit to get your votes. Everybody knows what the problem is but nobody wants to fix it because it would require hard work and personal responsibility.

Look, can anyone simply answer the question?

Can you honestly say we live in an at least mostly (lets say 85%) fair and just society? This justice extends to everyone roughly equal?

It really is a simple yes or no question.

Of course life isn't fair.

Some people are born to rich parents. Some people are incredibly good looking. Some people are 6'10" and can dunk from the free throw line. Some people are really good at math. That's just a few examples of "unfair" advantages that some people are born with. Then you have people that happened to be good friends with someone that started a billion dollar company and were able to ride their coattails to riches. Or you have people that find a bag of money that fell off a Brinks truck. Or you have people that don't even gamble, but play the slots for 3 minutes while their wife takes a piss and win millions.

So what exactly is your point? Would you like to throw acid on the face of good looking people, break the legs of athletic freaks, take money from the wealthy, etc just so you can feel better about your lot in life?

Stop fucking whining like a little bitch and go get what you want out of life. Or keep playing the poor little victim role until the day you die and you'll never have shit and never be shit. It's your life, you pick.

Reminds me of this gem from the other thread:

I'm beginning to think you are really fucking stupid. I was giving you the benefit of the doubt. But you can't answer the most simple of questions.

Instead you stupidly dance around the issue with red-herrings and dumb ass, I've-heard- it-all-before arguments that any clueless 9 year old could write, not knowing how the REAL WORLD works.

I made NO MENTION of the in-equality of circumstances (winning the lottery, being good at math/sports etc) dick-face.

I was asking you if you believe our society is just and fair in the ways that really count. Or even just mostly just and fair UNDER THE LAW and in terms of how people in this society judge others. Does that make it easier for you?

Yes or no?

I was asking you if you believe our society is just and fair UNDER THE LAW...

Yes or no?

No, due to affirmative action and other "minority" superiority programs, whites have become an oppressed and discriminated-against race.

That answer it for you, shithead?

^ His idiocy! I knew it was only a matter of time before you chimed in. I could see you writing that post with a big, wide, stupid grin on your face.

Did you know white women are the primary beneficiaries of affirmative action? If so how can white people be oppressed by affirmative action if they benefit from it?
Affirmative Action

Tell me how can white people be oppressed if white people are less likely to be convicted for non-violent drug crimes?

Here is the question again, as it was originally posted:

By not directly answering the question, your really not helping your arguments.
