every case has its specifics, but one thing about this sentence...

a man who suddenly doesn't 'have' anything, will create anything else in order to survive. and usually he will survive. it is the nature of males.
a woman who suddenly doesn't have anything... well... they're lost. and they will require that 'network' as you call it, in order to bring them back.

men will not perish, network or no network. look at african and s-am tribespeople. sometimes entire tribes are extinct but the last remaining member is always a man [+maybe a dog!] women without a network... is something i think everyone could agree, is 99%+ a disaster. in fact i'd be very wary of a girl who doesn't have a network !:)

so imo they build and maintain them because, just how providing and creating is our purpose, maintaining and securing is theirs.
 


a little off topic but... why the fuck do people insist on calling their wives "wifey". You sound fucking retarded. 1 rapper says it in 1 song and everything completely loses grips on the English language. Between that and "What it do" I want to fucking stab people in the face.

If you are still searching for that 'wifey' make sure in the very beginning that she is comfortable with your lifestyle of long hours and has a true understanding of what sacrifice now to reap the rewards later really means. This means she has demonstrated some level of sacrifice prior to your relationship. This is something you can't teach. They simply have to experience it otherwise their will be constant tension.

My ex was working a dead end 9-5 office job but told me she wanted to become a wedding phototgrapher. During the months that followed it was pure torture trying to teach her business 101. Six months later she had zero clients and I later realized she was sabotaging my efforts because she simply did not want to work that hard.

Fail! Race is ambiguous in many, many cases. For example, Fredi Washington, pictured below, is an actress who played the role of a black woman who passes for white in the film Imitation of Life. In her day the 'tar brush' of a "single drop" of African heritage meant she, like the woman she portrayed, was Black (or Negro as she would have said).

Today, a significant percentage of the population would say she wasn't really Black at all.

What a load. People need people. (damnit everytime I have to say that , I end up getting Barbara in my head all night) that being said, I'm a total loner. I have friends but I barely see them, I really enjoy just being by myself. I have a family and that is PLENTY of togetherness for me. I have known male friends that need a ridiculous amount of companionship. Can't stand being alone. Infact almost every guy I dated (and the one I married) needed much more social interaction than I. Essentially, as humans, We all need a network of people whether it be just one more person or 200. The quantity is going to depend on the personality, not the gender.

As turbo said.. bullshit.

Research shows that when one partner of a married couple dies, the left men die faster than women.

One of the reasons fot his is the lack of a social network, as many husbands "outsource" the task of social network build and upkeep to their wives.

Humans are pack animals, "lone wolves" are far and in between and they die earlier than the rest.

Wife and I work together in a cleaning business. She runs the residential side and has complete autonomy over that, I run the commercial side. She has done good for herself, learned the market etc and we continue to get quality clients both commercial and residential. Besides not being good at "the books" she does like her 4 day weekends, which I can say drives me nuts, but she is making money. So, the way I see it, if that is all I have to "bitch" about, I think I am doing pretty good.
 
Most people are idiots who can't think beyond planning to get drunk over the weekend and bitching about their job.

The unemployed bitch about the little bit they have to do, and how they don't have money. They don't talk about the job interviews they went on or the skills they tried to learn on their own to make themselves more marketable.

Most people have no personality beyond the minutiae of day to day living. What is their philosophy? Most of them can't even spell it, and the ones who can are just spitting out what they learned in their one semester of college before they flunked out because they got too drunk to pass their classes.

People are too busy living at the absolute lowest level of life, complaining about what they have to do instead of exploring what they could do.

They do the same shit all their moronic friends do because they're too stupid or scared to question the status quo.

People who take charge of their lives are the wolves living among sheep and cows. If you can find a she-wolf to run with you, all the better. Don't waste your time trying to get the sheep and cows to like you. Tear their throats out and move on after you've drunk your fill.

About women putting other women down - I have never seen the levels of passive aggressive evil that goes down between women until seeing what my wife has gone through. I like guys better. If we think you're a dick, we tell you to your face. Women will go for YEARS pretending they're your best friend and biggest supporter and then absolutely stick a dagger in your back at the most damaging, embarassing and heartbreaking times. That's the shit wifey has been going through from various women in her life. People who on the surface have only been supportive of her business suddenly going batshit evil and spreading lies about her or making it sound like she's a bad person because she has a business to tend to. And a lot of it is the breeders vs. the childfree. You cannot escape vicious attack from other women who have kids if you dare to be a childfree women these days. Me, nobody gives a shit. Sure, my mom would like grandkids, but she knows I'm not giving her any. And I have another sibling who will probably oblige her. But dare to be a businesswoman who doesn't want kids and good lord, the crucification Jesus suffered is NOTHING compared to what happens to you. It really sucks.
