Ok, what I need is really simple, or so it seems.

I have a review site.

On this review site are about 10 reviews, all in the same category. I have assigned a custom field called "starrating" to each review with the value of each field being the <img> tag for the corresponding rating it receives.

All I need is a widget on my sidebar that displays the reviews in order, highest ranking first in this format: [posttitle] - [star-rating]..

the result being my reviews all layed out in order on the sidebar with their corresponding ratings.

I've been at this for 4 hours now, I've tried every combination of 'category post' and 'custom field widget' type plugins, and so far it's a no-go.

Hey dchuk,

Yeah, i've heard of that plugin but I actually didn't know that it had built in sidebar widgets.

My only issue is that I want all of my reviews to have either the hReview or schema microformats: Reviews - Webmaster Tools Help

And I was using a review plugin (without a sidebar widget lol) to accomplish that.

GD Star Rating FTW and FTL.

It's a SERIOUS shit show of too many options and bloat from too many people wanting this and that, but once you figure it out, it's total money.

It does have shortcodes and PHP functions you can easily toss wherever you want in your site.

Budget yourself 3 stress-free hours to figure it out, don't let yourself get frustrated... once you get it going, it rocks. I use multi-ratings which made learning it even more maddening, but was worth it.
