WordPress -> Static Site

Any suggestions on moving a wordpress site over to a static site?

my thought was a good site generator that would take RSS feeds, I could just point my blogs feeds to the the tool and create a static website that may be more Google friendly for adwords.

just skin out the dynamiky looking parts and add wp cache..

you could use wget to walk the site, change all the extensions to .html and re-upload. I guess. I don't know why you'd want to though

lots of sites that are about 100 pages plus

In terms of why I am doing this, per two other threads I have seen a impact in QS on adwords from sites that are just wordpress based. When I have tested small non wordpress sites, QS is fine.

Just use a desktop site grabber - then reupload it

You should be able to use a program to like winhttrack to create an archive of the site but it makes a lot more sense to do some wordpress customization and get rid of the stuff that's dragging you down.
