I think what bothers me about the beard is it's all uneven on one side, and is in serious need of manscaping and landscaping.

I know you said your wife said she didn't like you clean shaven, but this doesnt mean you have to go Grizzly Adams either. Try a shorter beard, stubbled, close to the face, it should rock.
