World Cup Spain v Holland

Damn, was rooting for NL.

Game was well boring. Same as every Spanish game in the whole comp.

Also if that corner was awarded correctly near the end that goal probably wouldn't have happened and NL would have taken it in penalties.
 


My words exactly xentech. Boring game. Seems the italians have handed over the boring slow football baton to the spanish. Oh well, I'd take a world cup playing in any style, so fair play to them.

Not a great advert for football though, aside from the boring match, the pitch was just covered in cheats and primadonnas. The sooner Blatter hurrys up and dies (or retires) the better.

You guys that are complaining about it being boring should stick to watching basketball where they score points every two minutes.

Anyway, while Spain did not play their best game, Holland played incredibly dirty.

I'm glad now Spannish people are sat inside on the internet, if my country won the world cup I'd be partying straight for as physically long as I could go!

Spain deserved the win. They were the better team this time around.

But the fuckin ref's have been terrible, especially in the final. Dishing out yellow cards like its going out of style for normal plays, red card when they didn't even touch each other.

That dude got Van Bommeled though lol
 
Spain had more luck then skill. i mean they started the tournament beeing the top fav for the title. But they played so badly the entire tournament beside this 1 match vs ger.

Yes they "dominate" the games by passing the ball a gazillion times before going towards the goal but still they suck at making them. Look at total goals of spain and how they win every game in the tournament. NL had like 3 big chances to score + 1 foul which would have normaly been 11m.
And tbh i do not get why ppl realy say spain was better. Yes they had longer the ball but thats about it. No "bigger" chances not more chances etc etc.
Spain could have been ost any of there games in there tournament easily if they would have gotten 1 or 2 goals from the others. Cuz there way of playing makes it impossible to get more then 2 goals per match.

W/E the wc in total sucked beside some matches with all those mistakes on ref side etc etc etc.

Back to not care :D

Howard Webb was definately the best referee at this World Cup. His first 3 games were great, let the game flow, stopped when appropriate.

In the final, imo, all bookings were justified. The karate kick should've been a straight red, but even if he did give it - the outcome would've been the same, they would've played with 10 men for most of the match.

Robben had 2 great chances to win the match, didn't convert either. The best team won.

gotta agree. Im just mad because my team lost! hahah

Robben had 2 excellent chances including a breakaway... Sneijder and Van Persie weren't even in the game.

Robben is a fast mother fucker, but other then that, clumsy as shit. He should have convert, totally.

Spain was dominating and they had tons of goal chances, but they didn't convert either. Better team won.

Most of the Spanish games could have easily been 5 or 6 goal affairs in their favor. They were stymied by posts, crossbars, goal tending and poor finishes that resulted in missed opportunities. As has been pointed out several times, low scoring doesn't mean a boring game or terrible performance. A low score doesn't tell the whole story.

Holland should have been down to 10 men for the boot to the chest. The ref also gave several players second and third chances with verbal warnings in lieu of a second yellow card to keep them on the field. They could have easily been down to 9 men with all the crappy tackles. Lots of bitching and moaning and temper tantrums from the orange side as well.

That being said it certainly wasn't Spain's best performance. In the end though the right team won the match and thankfully it didn't end in a shootout.

I was out at one of the cheringuitos (beach bars) to watch the game but I packed it in early. I've got too much work on my plate to be out on the piss all night, but there wasn't much work done by the Spanish today and they'll be partying for days to come I think.
