Would 17 year old you like grown up you?

It's a really weird one. Crazy to think how much me, my goals and my life has changed in just 4 years really.

Same here man. If I could go back in time right now to when I was 17 I would tell myself "Stop being such a fucking dumbass and get to work." It's weird to look back at who you used to be and then realize that you've only been the new you for 2-4 years.

We're almost the same person. When I was a kid I was told by many people that they had never met somebody my age who was as self directed as me.

When I was 15 I sat down and wrote down a list of goals I wanted to achieve and when I wanted to achieve them by. Some were very long term goals and some were short term goals. Most of them were very ambitious. But I had goals for almost every year of my life.

Looking at that list, if I were to rewrite it now, it would look almost the same.

Adulthood is gonna blow your mind, son

Need more context on this. Sidenote : I'm currently full time science student at senior secondary school who gets good grades and make more money that my school's principle and my parents.

After secondary school 1 million students compete for engineering examination which admits about 10k of them to engineering colleges operated by Govt. After 4 years of studying they get a job of 10-20k an year. It's always about 3-5 times less than what one gets in US.

Come adulthood, Saleem is ready.

When I was 17 I worshipped the Devil. I would be upset that I'm not singing black metal anymore.

The minimum wage machine allows anybody to work for minimum wage. Turning the crank will yield one penny every 4.97 seconds, for $7.25 an hour (NY state minimum wage). If the participant stops turning the crank, they stop receiving money. The machine's mechanism and electronics are powered by the hand crank, and pennies are stored in a plexiglas box.

No.

I was old before my time, so my 17-year-old self would probably just shrug and consider this life a natural extension of who I was then.

Of course, unlike many of you, I get to relive my youth every single day by hanging out with high school kids and watching modern versions of Shakespeare like Taming of the Shrew, aka 10 Things I Hate About You. How's that for an awesome high school soundtrack?

17 year old me was a shy, overweight geek, wanting to do "something with computers".

He'd look up to 37 year old me. I've gone beyond my own expectations - and I am not finished yet.

17 year old me was PISSED that modern me didn't invent the time machine yet and bring him a copy of Gray's Sports Almanac. (Nor any good stock tips.)

...But I'm still working on it so maybe he won't have been pissed afterall.
