Wow, new myspace actually pretty impressive.

meh, people are already sick of social networking... it's all the same bs. Someone needs to come with something really innovative and this new myspace doesn't seem like it. Looks like another "me too" type of business to me.

Pintrest with a music twist.

The music affinity thing caught my eye though. Usually I find out about new artists through Youtubes related and it annoys me that I hadn't heard of some of these people before.

It does look sharp...but I spent the entire time watching the video looking for where my ads would show up.

They do not let me on because I have "outdated" browser. I am on opera. Whats up with that new trend when you have to use either chrome or FF, or IE only, otherwise you are not even allowed on the site?

Mobile and Social is where its gonna be at, and its wide open right now.

Because as a web developer you're 2.2% of my traffic, and therefore having to fully support your browser is a pain in my ass.

Exactly. So do not fully support it, just let me open your site at least :)
Plus i had maybe only 1 issue with one site (drop down menu was not opening) in the last 5 years I am using opera. So I do not see any problems for myspace to let me use their site with opera.

Can I just say, I LOVE this attitude?!?!?! I wish every major site tossed out anything less than IE8 and other old shit.

Wondering the same..

Everything I saw can be done with normal xHTML 4.0 and jQuery, but that doesn't mean they didn't decide to take the leap into some HTML5, they have the devs and money to make it happen (not saying they are rich, it just doesn't take much, and I doubt this was done on a shoestring budget).
