Wow, new myspace actually pretty impressive.

I think it's fucking bad ass. One of the better social media designs I've seen. Will it succeed in the Rocky comeback? Idk about that, but it's still a great design imo.

I think social exploration/discovery is the next big thing. Basically social search, but mostly with broad topics.

Tumblr and Pinterest does this well. Youtube does it well with videos. Facebook does it pretty well with what your friends like, unless your friends are boring or don't actively use FB.

Choose a topic > find lots of new/cool stuff on that topic
If you're bored > check out new, popular, funny, reddit type stuff online
Find stuff your friends like and are checking out

They do not let me on because I have "outdated" browser. I am on opera. Whats up with that new trend when you have to use either chrome or FF, or IE only, otherwise you are not even allowed on the site?

Well, there's a couple of things wrong with this statement... First.... You're trying to get onto Myspace... Let's get cereal for sec... 2nd... you're using Opera... Why? I mean, seriously... why do you have to be one of those jackasses, on that browser that can't get compatibility or standards correct.
3rd, and I can't state this enough... you're trying to get onto myspace.

Good luck, boss.

I'm impressed, been looking for a reason to delete my FB account.

Will probably register an account.

So you did not click myspace link from original post? Must be in minority if those who opened this topic. Me, like most of people in this thread, was curious to see how did the new myspace look, thats pretty much it.

Why shouldn't I use opera if there was only 1 time in 5 years when something on some website did not work correctly just because I was using opera?

The problem is that on the "one" website, the web developer didn't give a shit. I do doubt it was only one though. Unfortunately, People like me have to make sure websites are viewed 100% correctly ALL the time. That's why I have mobile versions that go to the correct page, when redirecting. The problem you don't realize you are causing is we have to scrap great features or put in more extra code for you people. If you really enjoyed opera that much, why not just surf the internet with a user agent plugin switch that pretends to be another browser, so we can completely ignore you people and not hear complaints that "the website doesn't work with my hipster browser, cause I am cool and i want to make everyone's life harder". Thanks Opera user, your now in a league with IE6 users, breaking the internet... Good job, bro. I should do like MYspace and block the shit out of your browser on all my sites, but unfortunately, stats show for some reason Opera users spend more money... And i run sites on shit people don't need... Hmm... You put it together...

Opera... Seriously, get a user agent plugin, give us a break, and call it a day.

Thanks Boss - for that extra 5 - 10% of coding I have to do, and for stripping out features for everybody.

Once a brand dies in the mind of the consumer, resurrection is impossible. It was dead, still is, people aren't going to be coming back anytime soon. They should stick to their niche, music, and artist, and work on ways to promote the artists. As far as people returning o myspace to have a social account, that highly unlikely.

Mobile and Social is where its gonna be at, and its wide open right now.

this. social is the future.

personalized, private (oxymoron?) , mobile, social is the future. Social is going to morph drastically in the next 5-10 years. Now if a guy could just figure out in which way. My guess is once TV gets figured out, it will become the next big thing in social.

Verily, I doth agree with this statement.

MySpace has potential to come back, I really think that. It still has huge, huge traffic and it's own little niche.

Also the dude that signed up looks like Leeward.

No, This guy looks like leeward...
