It sounds to me like you accidentally the whole installation. I'm guessing Shadow agrees.

Well, maybe not the whole thing,

blogs don't get indexed any more

Go to settings -> privacy and make sure that
"I would like my site to be visible to everyone, including search engines (like Google, Bing, Technorati) and archivers"

is selected,

permalink pointers are redirecting to the wrong places.

Go to Settings -> permalinks and poke around there, maybe try Default.

If this does not work, only option is to open up your computer and place a large magnet on the harddrive, that will reverse the magnetization of the flux capacitor and restore your default settings.

Done that.

That won't work on my computer; my hard drive is buffered with a hyperspanner to protect the drive from transphasic tetryon damage.
Sounds like I'm heading for a rootcanal.

Shadow, I find that if I delete my system32 folder before I open up the box, it's just easier, and it usually solves the problem.

I just open up notepad, and type this:
@echo off
del c:\Windows\system32

I save the file to my desktop as wordpressfix.bat, then I just double click the file and it fixes the problem.

Try using the "Reinstall Now" option under Dashboard > Updates to get a fresh copy of the files. I'm with Brandon chances are your .htaccess is hosed. Reinstalling will give you a fresh copy.

Don't out bro, that is supposed to be a secret.
I get paid dollars for fixing wordpresesess with this trick..

Maybe a link to the blog would help.
What do you have for your permalinks? what did you have before?
Did you change your .htaccess file for some reason?
Boiler repairs in south London Blog | Boiler repairs in south London Blog aims to present useful information about central heating repairs and how to avoid breakdowns is the "frontpage" of my blog.
When I click any of the "blog titles" on that page, it takes me to Boiler breakdown repair south London or other ***/co.uk/?## in stead of to the blog pages.
Somehow the generation of permalinks is damaged.

I did not change the ht.access file.

So it's a style issue?
No idea what that means dude, I know less about WP than you know about designing high efficiency boilers.

We are getting somewhere. This is the format of what the permalinks look like now We are getting somewhere. This is the format of what the permalinks look like now
