WP Twenty Ten Theme Help Please !

Ok, I'm really new to the WordPress platform and really need a little help. You guys are going to think I'm retarded but WTF. :)

So here's my problem..... I want to add an ad block or possibly two right under the header. I need the block to stay there even after new posts are added.

I tried adding the block to the first post but found out quickly that doesn't work too well.

I really like this theme and if you guys will take pity on me and give me the education I need I will be forever grateful.

I've tried this and that and for the life of me I can't see the forest for the trees !
 


put it in header.php

Every page uses header.php, so if you put the code in there it will be used on every page throughout the site.

requires a tiny bit of html knowledge I guess

This may be just what I was looking for ! I'm real new to WP and it's going to take a bit of learning to get comfortable with it. Took a while to figure out sidebar widgets :) and that was mostly with a lot of trial and error. Some times I think learning the hard way just reinforces the education.

Have any code ideas for placing two 300x280 ad blocks side by side in that area ?
