Is there a thread full of the WF writers around here somewhere? If not maybe we can start one.

It would nice to know others around here to use as referrals when asked. I've realized lately that I don't know many writers over here and have come up short a time or two when asked who I know who covers particular topics or styles.

Writers: Who are you and what do you write?

I'm Rebecca aka InternetAuthor, and I specialize in parenting, home and education, but write on most topics at times. I also specialize in ongoing (daily, monthly, weekly) content development, management and site content development.

I've been known to do press releases and soft-sell sales letters as well (usually to a female market)

Nice to meet everyone in advance!

I don't want you to sound all crazy like talking to yourself in this thread so I'm here to help. However, if you start quoting yourself and I'm outta here.

Here we go. Hello everyone, I'm erect ... I'm an addict and an alcoholic.

I don't write, hell I can barely even talk most of the time. Never mind that, If you need some awesome articles, I handle the order processing for my partner Mr. Markov .. he works real cheap like, but tends to ramble from time to time. However, my boy's got skillz. I have seen him complete a 3,000 word article in just a few seconds.

I know you want some, so bring on the orders

Writers write for people. Programs write for programs. Both have their place, I guess. But even if the correct keywords and density are included in the articles, a reader will need writing that does what good writing has always done, it makes the reader want to continue.

I'm Austin, and I have been writing online for about 2 months now. Though I am fairly new to this type of writing, I can write in near-perfect English.
I pretty much write on everything, but I guess if I had to choose, I would write on video games, movies, cars/bikes, casinos (online and offline), travel, and maybe some health subjects. I actually enjoy researching new things, so I almost prefer topics that I am not familiar with.

As of right now I can write articles and articles only. I don't have the experience to do a sales copy or press release, but I plan to learn later on when I have time.

Out of curiosity, what do all the writers here charge per word? I charge $0.02 per word currently.

In my opinions all writers should maintain blogs. This way its easy for a potential client to check out their work.

I've dabbled in writing, mostly about tech stuff. I had limited success for awhile writing angry tirades about nearly anything.

I consider myself a publisher not a writer anymore, but I have been published (in print technical magazines long ago) and I still like to write, especially technical writing, and I'm starting to like writing sales copy.

Ok if this thread is still going I'd like to talk about why social media optimization (SMO ) is important to authors and publishers. All websites get traffic from two basic sources: search engines and social media. As a webmaster, I can generate search engine friendly pages at an awesome rate via a simple search and replace program that creates unique (but meaningless) copy to feed the search engine spiders.

Only humans can create copy that the the user wants to read enough to hit the "continue" button or the "stumble this" button. So when I buy content, I want more than "passes copyscape" or other measures. I want copy that "hooks" the reader whether I am paying per post or even per word.

I'll STFU now.

I officially make you the campaign manager for quality writers.

There are markets for all kinds of writers, but too many still think that a $5 article has the same power as a $50 one. And to be fair, it can if you don't know how to use powerful content correctly.

The writer that knows the true depth of the market, understands the various needs of webmasters, can market accordingly to those in need of their work. Of course, to sell a $50 article more than once, you have to be worth $50. :)
