WTF is going on with all these high end car crashes?

No amount of training would have prevented that guy from doing 180 mph through a red light. You learn not to do that shit when you're 16 and get your license, but he chose to disregard that.

Require training to buy a sports car? ANYONE can blow a stop light at 100+MPH and kill people.

Right, but this isn't about running a stop light. It's about fuckfaces who think they are in a Ferrari and are therefore superman.

This guy was trying to run a yellow. He thought he could because he was in a Ferrari.

A friend of mine used to race and one of first things he had to train himself to do was look half a mile ahead. Driving at normal speeds we're used to projecting maybe a hundred yards ahead at the most. But at Ferrari speeds you cover more distance while your reflexes kick in, while you brake, etc.

What? You think someone driving a Prius believes they have the power to run red lights without getting hit?

FL has a serious problem with exactly this, so much so that when I moved here I was warned to count to 3 before proceeding through a light after it turns green. I've personally seen 2 accidents because people were running red/yellow lights. None of them involved Ferraris.

He wasn't trying to run a yellow like y'all keep saying because it had to have been a red for a full 5 seconds or more (assuming there's a bit of buffer between the light changing) before he even entered the intersection. The light was green for exactly 5 seconds before the taxi got smoked which means the Ferrari blew through a completely and unmistakably solid red. No running yellows here people. Get it through your heads.
