WTF offer pulled no notice, lost thousands.

Why the hell would you promote ONE offer from a SMALL NETWORK to the extent of 3500 LEADS A DAY. Epic Fail.

So you failed common sense, economics 101, and many others and bragged about it online (At WF of all places). You are so full of win.

I still think you're full of shit. About 90% of your posts on here are bullshit. I could care less, but you read like an absolute liar with nearly everything you write.

You apparently spend 20k here and there and make 40k on this and that but still have no clue what EPC means (http://www.wickedfire.com/affiliate...ng-money-wixawin-contact-info.html#post277172). Go back to DP or stop lying.

Thank you kind Sir, I've been thinking the same ever since I corrected him on that thread.

Flame War...

Whats DP, digital point?

I'm kinda new to this affiliate game, I'm using unconventional methods to earn some money through affiliate offers...

I don't run PPC campaigns (unless it's Facebook PPC), I make most of my money from websites I own that have loads of traffic.

also just proves you don't have to be a guru to make some good money online =)

Also just to update you guys, the affiliate network I was going with was Millnic Media. He's going to give me $2000 for all the traffic (even though I clocked it at $2800) but $2000 is better than nothing.

He got the offer through another network, Canadian Sponsors - and they are the ones I think that should be responsible for paying up.

The advertiser was with Canadian Sponsors and pulled the plug without notifying anyone...so technically it's the advertiser's fault.

Have any of you ever dealt with Canadian Sponsors before? Has anyone had this been pulled on them before?

Like I said, I'm new to the affiliate game, and yeah I make a lot of mistakes.

I came here not to brag about my mistakes, but to get input from people who are in my situation but know more about the industry and standard practices.

I'm just trying to get some help from WF members who are much more experienced than I.

Two pieces of advice...

1. Use a "real" affiliate network with their own advertisers so you aren't at the bottom of a long shit list of people(and companies) who have to be notified if an offer gets pulled.
2. Have every one of your AM's cellphone numbers. Seriously, who the fuck uses a house phone anymore anyway...

I have the same thought about this guy. Most of his posts are trying to brag how much money he is making. Maybe he is trying to gain reputation by showing off in this forum.

not trying to brag, I'm just shooting the shit with you guys and trying to fit in, get some questions answered, build some relationships.

Just want you guys to know I'm not just another newb trying to make some money - but I am a newb in a way, still got lots to learn.

Thanks for letting us know that you are insecure.

Well one thing to consider is never hit an advertiser with a ton of leads quickly. Slowly build up traffic to them as I think it scares some of the advertisers. They set a budget and you hit it your first day as their only advertiser and that's risky for them. You could be pushing torrents with is 100% shit traffic but they wouldn't know until down the road when it didn't back out for them. Be smart and slowly build traffic with and advertiser and also build a relationship with the people you're working with. You'll save yourself a lot of heartache at the end of the day. If you're dealing with traffic that is crappy be prepared to give some money back from time to time ( we definately do ). If you have great traffic and lots of it forge your relationships in writing and build them slowly. Also go direct if you can as that takes a lot of the unknowns out of the mix. You know who's number to dial and who to have your attorney send your paperwork to if they don't pay.

I recommend checking the publishers terms and conditions with the networks. Most networks have a requirement in their insertion orders (generally 48 to 72 hours) that the advertisers must give them notice so they can let their publishers know. If the advertiser pulls the offer they are still on the hook for that traffic sent during that time. Now check your publishers terms and conditions and see what guarantees they make to their publisher (should really read T&C when initially signing up). In most cases the network should pay their publishers no matter what (especially if they want to have a good reputation) as its their responsibility to find reputable advertisers. Before networks add offers they normally require deposits, credit checks or prior dealings.

At 3500 leads for a coffee gift card, I think you're a newb with lots to teach...

For a coffee gift card? 3500 leads?

WTF am I missing?
