Yahoo Mail sucking a big D

So ever since Yahoo has had that password hack, I haven't been able to get into my email.

It's not that my password has changed, it's that they're requiring me to answer my security question I set back in 2006.

And I can barely remember what I did last week, let alone six years ago.

It's not a huge deal because it's one of my old email accounts, but I have a decent amount of receipts saved in there that I'm gonna need come tax time.

I tried to call customer support. It was a bitch to even find their number, then I was never able to talk to a live person.



Has anyone else had any success dealing with Yahoo?
 


Damn man I thought I was living in the past with my hotmail email address, But yahoo? oh man...

And yea there password system sucks I've had my shit locked out because of stupid security passwords in the past.

Lol yeah I know. It's one of my really old accounts that I've had too long to give up. Nostalgia I guess. But after this I'm done for good.
 
I guess me too a victim of yahoo email. Can't fucking login whatsoever and I remember my password. Did they just mass change or reset passwords?

What's coming up for you? I'm getting a security question I need to answer. That or they're sending me a reset option to a backup e-mail I haven't had in 10 years.
 
Actually now that I think about it. I think I remember reading something on the yahoo mail site about some kind of switch that was going to happen and you needed to update something. I might be wrong on this, but I swear I remember seeing something about a change and needing to update your info or maybe it was password or something?

I'm with yahoo. All the way back 12-14 years with the same account. I guess some of us like to keep the same email address for convenience.
 
I just got locked out of my Excite email address and I can't remember my Lycos password. Please someone help. I've got 3 projects open in Frontpage and I need to email some MS paint files. I'm screwed.

Seriously? The same thing happened to me the other day when I was dialing into AOL online so I could hang out in the chat rooms. Can't be a coincidence.
 
Pretty annoying that Yahoo sometimes makes you enter a captcha just to email people on your contact list, people that you email back and forth with every day. You'd think responses from that contact would be enough to add them to some kind of whitelist.
