Don't have kids if you can't take care of them.

Abortions aren't that expensive from what I understand, and "morning after" pills are even cheaper. If your beliefs don't allow you to have an abortion, then that's YOUR choice. Birth control pills are pretty damned effective.

I'd rather my taxes pay for tubal ligations and abortions instead of child care and food for yet another fucking moron who can't support themselves. (c.f. "Idiocracy")

Don't institutionalize the entitlement mindset, nip it in the bud and prevent those shitty genes from propogating.

Of course they aren't open then, it takes actual RESPONSIBLE people to take the time and get condoms / birth control. Your making my case for me. How hard is it to at the very least stop at a gas station and pick up a rubber befor partying?

Ok, just want to be clear on one point.. I never argued it wasn't the "responsible" thing to do. What I'm saying is people won't stop fucking on spur of the moment urges because it's the responsible thing to do.. Whether or not it's irresponsible, rape, with a condom, without a condom, aliens insemination, beastiality.. it all has the same name unplanned pregnancy, and there's a shit load of them no matter what you call them.

I actually agree with this - a bit - but not from the "all poor people are losers and lazy perspective". The problem is the welfare system is designed to keep people in the system - generation after generation.

Instead of the government creating some kind of training program that can either get people real jobs OR EVEN BETTER become entrepreneurs, the people who are hardworking are penalized and the lazy asses are rewarded.
Some of that welfare money needs to go to getting people to start their own businesses. If you can't spell worth a fuck but can clean shit, fine. You can start the next Waste Management Corporation!

Anyone who has done any volunteer work with poor people will tell you that. The gov't systems are a joke. PURE, UTTER IDIOCY....

They should be teaching people how to be self sufficient, but uh uh it's not the case.

As for the abortion, I think it's funny that alot of the extreme right wing conservatives on the one hand don't want single moms leeching off the state, yet they are against abortion.

So let me get this straight, you want to force someone to have a kid that can't/won't take care of it and then we all pay for it out of our pockets???

That's smart. Of course in my opinion they really need to bring back shot gun weddings. If you didn't want to pay child support and couldn't be bothered with birth control or a condon, oh effing well get ready for your responsibilities as a father and mother - whether you want to or not.
 
Agreeing with ridderhusetgal on this one.
Welfare to work programs are usually pretty decent.
We have "work for the dole" which basically allows people to reskill in something (99% of the time it's manual labour) and basically get work in a shitty job at lower minimum wage. The employer gets a subsidy for having a semi-useless bum in their midst, in the hope that after a while, they'll merely be quasi-useless, and eventually kinda, sorta, a little productive.
Regardless of my criticism of the program, it does tend to work for the people that actually DO want work, but just can't find it due to lack of employment history.
