I took a look around the API, and it's legit. Supports all the goodies (SendMessage, ReadMessage, etc..)

I thought you could a long ass time ago...but I haven't used Yahoo mail in close to 5 yrs.

last time I checked you had to a) pay for a Pro account or b) sign up through countries that allowed it

It's not new, POP Peeper developers are using this for a while.
Their application lets you to manage your POP3 mail account (the free one) from the client app.
