Wow - he scraped the entire Internet with 5 laptops? He should get a job at Google, and tell them how their data centres are a waste of time and money

I really hate to disagree here...

Just because I hate this type of copy and offer, and I write copy for a living, but I think they nailed it for this market.

I HATE the "IM" market and rarely write for it. When I do it's something valuable, software that actually provides value, etc...

These kinds of products are what I call "info-candy"...

The buyers are buying 99% for entertainment value alone. They want to believe the claims. They want a "push button" system. They'll buy. Mass refunds. And then move on to the next "get rich with zero work" system.

They're dreamers, and these guys know how to sell to them. (Judging by gravity here, no clue how it actually converts).

Ugh.

Dirty niche.

But easy money for the guys who sell to 'em.

Good point. It is a dirty niche. And those folks will buy just about anything that suggests they'll make the moolah. But I'm gonna take a side route here: I don't actually consider it copy.

Here's what I mean...

Stephen King once said a lot of critics and publishers noted that he could print his grocery list, and sell millions of copies. His publisher at the time could simply run a full page spread in NYT with the words, "buy it."

I don't consider that copy either since the words, "blow me" would move the same volume.

Years ago, there was some kickass copy coming from the IM niche. For example, Kern's older stuff - including his email sequences - had gold in it. And the older guard (Kennedy, etc.) were pumping out the goods, too.

But this guy? This CB jockey? No.

It's true the IM field is filled with knuckleheads who'll trade their hard-earned cash for dreams. But copy isn't necessary to move the product, just like the $5 street whore doesn't need copy to sell her blowjobs.

Short version: I agree with you, Scott. But I have a hard time even thinking of this crap as copy. It might as well be written in Yiddish.

Totally agreed Jake.

When I say "I think they nailed it", it's like a meth dealer "nailing" a trailer park...

"You want some shit? You're lucky I'm here. It costs $x".

I agree, the copy ain't "copy".

But for the market, they're like fish in a barrel (or meth-heads in a trailer park), it don't take a whole lot of real convincin'.

Just enough to sucker them in.

Holy shit did anyone make it through that entire video? I tried, fell asleep, woke up, was still on. IT DOESN'T END.

I don't know I'm curious to know how long it is, I had it on as background noise for at least 20mins or so It got too annoying as I was browsing other sites around the time he said he was creating some software after getting advice from the nines. I wonder if it lasts as long as the fake count down.

Video sounds like a flustered MLM "Marketer" trying to hard sell bootleg Vigara to old grandpas.

THAT, or a nasal voice nerd first day as a telemarketer.
