Hi carlmarl,
You can use CBsurge from CBsurge.com to help you find what product to sell. It highlights the ones to go for in green. It's a free tool from Matt & Brad Callen.
If you want to promote Health products - I recommend Markethealth.com.
With Internet Marketing, you need to get your head around the fact that you need to get traffic to your site - this means a strong understanding of SEO to get your page ranked, as studies show that number one ranking in google gets around 40% of the clicks, 2nd rank gets up to 38%, 3rd gets around 10% and the rest is shared...
There are heaps of other ways to get targeted traffic to your site, like article marketing, forum marketing, solo ads, PPC ads etc... I think you get the point that you need to spend lots of effort in the marketing department. I'm only going on about this because you can find or be recommended a great CB product but that is only the beginning.
When it comes to building the site. Don't sell. Provide lots of value and recommend the product. This is where lots of newbies (and experienced marketers) make this big mistake. No one likes to be sold anything. People like to buy not be sold. George Brown from Google Sniper has a lot to say about this and so do guys like Kelly Felix, Jamie Lewis etc...
Go to kidneydiet.net. This is a site by Kelly Felix. He ranks number 1 for keyword search "Kidney Diet". Notice he doesn't have any ads on his site - just useful information and a few discreet links. It took him less then an hour to build this site and it makes between $500 to $800 a month passive. Its a CB product he promotes and he hasn't touched it since he build it over a year ago.
Also, when looking for a product/niche to promote, go for something that you have a lot of knowledge or experience in, something that you are passionate about - I cannot stress this enough. if you're "luke warm" it will show in all your marketing and no-one will buy from you.
Sorry if this a bit more then you probably wanted to hear but I just want you to succeed.
I hope this helps.
