Your thoughts?

ok, but why do you focus so hard on black families? socialism is designed to disrupt any kind of positive emotional bond between human beings. be it father and son, wife and husband, friends, less close relationships. the less relationships there are, the stronger socialism is, because nobody is even able to do good. only the great government overlords can then help you out in the event of some minor tragedy happening. read that article guerilla posted in the other thread. its all about inheritance (tax)

I point out the destruction of black families because they are the very ones that most white liberals pretend to care so much about, when in reality everything they support leads to the destruction of the black community. You'd probably have to go back and read the OP to understand why my posts focused on its effect on blacks specifically though. He wanted a good reply to some democratic friends on FB complaining about republican robber barons or some shit.

"If it were to show statistics based on control of Congress it would look 10x worse for Republicans. Throughout history, since the birth of the party, GOP control of Congress has had this same result. Robber Barons? Great Trusts? Great Depression? Great Recession? All direct results of GOP control.... Yeah, don't you just hate it when FACTS get in the way of bashing Democrats?? LMAO Once again, just sayin.. You cant change FACTS Bro! "

I'm curious to see how some of you would respond to this.

Ask them what economic things the two parties do differently when in control - not what they say they will do when trying to get elected, but what they actually do differently, and to what extent it really is different.

If they say republicans "cut welfare", you can point out that Clinton oversaw the biggest welfare cuts in recent history. You can point out that Bush did the big medicare expansion. If they say democrats increase spending on education, you can point out Bush's 80% increase.

Have them look at the chart in that link. With the exception of Reagan's first term, the budgets of all recent presidents have raised both defense and non-defense spending.

If they say democrats pass more regulations, then you can throw links like this at them :

Obama Has Approved Fewer Regulations Than Bush Up To This Point, Analysis Finds

We've had decades of both parties mostly doing the same things, so it's a LOGIC FAIL to view them as polar opposites.
