I started up a new campaign earlier, got everything sorted, made the ads, started low budget, etc.

Left it alone for about 2 hours, found that I was about breaking even. Went to see my stats for CTR from my LP to the offer, only to find that from 447 clicks I only had 33 people click through to the offer.

Back to the drawing board I guess... what's your worst CTR ever been?

I've seen similar numbers. Lately I can't get above 20-30% :(
I have had the same problem, been pumping all different types and just wont go above 30%. I even tried the white lp with just a little bit of color. I understand the lp is one of the most important things but it is also one of the most expensive. If you have no lp design skill you will end up spending 300-500$ easy just getting different types of lp's made and your not even sure if any of those will work.

Last PPC I did was MySpace and when I ran that I had trouble getting above 25%. It varied from 15-25% every day...sucked ass.

I am relatively new to this, so my opinion prob won't hold much weight but:

If you put time into it and it broke even, the time you spent was worth $0, but if you only need to put a bit more time in on split testing etc to make the project make even a 1% return then that time is suddenly worth something.

If it is a project that will continue to make money on autopilot then you can make a larger initial time investment also. So I suppose my opinion on this is:

Work on this project to make it better and bank

or

Work on something else you know will make more money

Since there is no such thing as a "sure thing", seems to me the best option is to work on this a bit till it makes some more money as your current opportunity cost for this project is way lower than the opportunity cost for making a new project.
