This was in Australia, it was just on the news too. That little fucker is going to grow up to be an awfully bad seed. Unfortunately most bullying situations are reversed and it's the fat kid that would be bullying the little one, in that case there is basically no way to retaliate.

Happens all the time around every school (Even mine). My friend got suspended for punching a guy in the face once when the dude kept trying to tackle him.
At my school, we had a seminar about "not fighting back" if we're confronted or attacked. Basically they want us to run away like pussies or we'll get suspended for 10 school days. It sucks that it's a normality for schools to suspend people who defend themselves...

Just watched the original, was the right thing to do but damn, that little kid could have actually been killed. The downward force on that slam was crazy. If he'd landed on his head it would have most probably cracked or at least caused him serious brain damage. Even freefalling from a standing position and hitting your head on concrete can do it (happens a lot to drunks), let alone this.
That was beautifully executed. The big kid had some real discipline to just stand their and wait for his moment. If he'd hit back earlier, the other kids woulda joined in and he have been screwed.
If that was my kid and he came home suspended for fighting back, I'd take him on holiday for the week to reward him.
This is exactly why my daughter's going to start martial arts when she's 3 (as long as she wants to).
EDIT - I feel kinda sorry for the little kid though. Behaving like that at that a young age means only one thing: daddy beats the shit out of mommy and kids when he's been drinking.

Unfortunately you're probably correct... Kids don't usually become bullies unless their parents suck. IMHO, 99.9% of kids are kind and loving until adults screw them up.

an the education system still has not learnt!!! They educate our kids but they cannot be educated themselves... can they order a huge cup of fucking useless when they get their next pay cheque...
When someone comes up with a product or service that puts an end to bullying they will make a killing. It's been a real problem for a long time and a lot of parents have a lot of anguish about it and would spend big to prevent it. I've kicked around ideas with friends for a long time and just can't hit on anything that would be effective. As this case shows, a kid can't even defend himself from a bully without administers punishing him.
