Do people generally go for ZIP submits or E-mail submits more often? I know that most campaigns don't pay unless you fill out a form (which probably includes both ZIP and e-mail anyways), but I usually won't submit my e-mail unless theres a lot of other text boxes to fill in, like name, street, phone number, etc.. ZIP submit campaigns seem to have a lower payout in general.

Zips have lower payouts but in my experience a better conversion rate. People are pretty aware of spam these days and don't have much worry for entering their zip codes

Thanks pfgannon.

Another question: When a campaign says that it can't be incentivized, what exactly does it mean? I know it means I can't provide incentive to fill out the form (I think?), but to what extent? Would the setup I have at Meet your Soulmate with True.com! would be out of the question for a campaign that can't be incentivized?

TylerL: First of all, nice landing page. Incentivized traffic is where you give your users incentive to complete the offer, whether it be money, gifts, etc..Think of the free ipod sites that were so popular awhile back.

So saying "fill out this survey" doesn't qualify as incentive?

Exactly. It's only incentive if you are giving the user something in return for doing the offer.

I.e. I saw a thread on talk freelance awhile back where a guy was paying people $1 to sign up for some offer. He probably made $3-4 an offer from that. That is giving someone an incentive to complete the offer.

I will second the props on your landing page though good work, hopefully with some good promotion your actually making some ok conversions!

Generally ZIP submits convert better for On-Site guys while Email submits convert better for Emailers. Generally when people get an email offer, they figure you already have their email address, whats the harm in giving it out again...

Which one converts better? It really depends on the offer. Sometimes email submits convert better than ZIPs and vice versa. In the end, ZIP submits pay less, but tend to convert better (on average) where email submits convert less but tend to pay better. But like I said, it really depends on the offer itself as to the conversion rates.

For me email submits usually work better... as i think some people question what good does them having my zipcode they cant contact me to send whatever it is. Thats just my experience.
